Sean O’Malley believes Tyron Woodley’s legacy took a massive hit on Saturday night. Woodley was rematching Jake Paul in the main event of a Showtime boxing pay-per-view. Early on, both men weren’t throwing much and through five rounds it was a very competitive fight, although not the most entertaining. Yet, in the sixth round, Paul scored a vicious KO that put Woodley out cold which O’Malley was impressed with.

UFC bantamweight contender Sean O’Malley revealed the rib injury that he sustained during his UFC 269 training camp for Raulian Paiva. O’Malley knocked out Paiva in the first round in what was the opening main card bout on the UFC 269 pay-per-view card. It was another amazing performance by O’Malley, who is 3-0 so far in 2021 with knockout wins over Paiva, Thomas Almeida, and Kris Moutinho. For O’Malley, though, he almost didn’t even make it to this fight with Paiva. According to “Sugar,” who spoke to the media following UFC 269, he had a nasty rib injury that he sustained during his training camp. According to O’Malley, he didn’t spar for three weeks.

Oliveira (31-8 MMA) captured the promotions vacant 155lbs title back in May, when he stopped Michael Chandler with a TKO in the second round. That win marked ‘Do Bronx’ ninth in a row, with eight of those respective victories coming by finish.

UFC middleweight Sean Strickland has responded after after being dubbed a “psychopath” by bantamweight Sean O’Malley. Strickland (24-3 MMA) was slated to compete against former middleweight champion Luke Rockhold last month at UFC 268. Unfortunately for fight fans, ‘Rocky’ was forced to pullout of the contest due to injury and Sean was removed from the card.

This Saturday night at UFC 269, Sean O’Malley will attempt to add another highlight to his reel when he squares off against Raulian Paiva. While many are excited to see him get back inside the Octagon, others wonder whether or not it’s time for him to take a step up in competition. After all, he’s now seven fights into his UFC career with his most notable opponent being Marlon “Chito” Vera – the man who finished him inside one round.

O’Malley is set to open the card against Raulian Paiva while the fight right after is Garbrandt’s flyweight debut against Kai Kara-France. Although they aren’t fighting each other, they have a history with one another and to no surprise, they took shots at one another.

Sean O’Malley has made it clear he wants to fight Petr Yan even if there isn’t a belt on the line. After Aljamain Sterling wasn’t medically cleared to fight Yan at UFC 267, O’Malley called out the Russian to step up on short notice. The fight ultimately went to Cory Sandhagen but for O’Malley, it’s still a scrap he wants. He knows it would be a fun fight for the fans and the way their styles collide makes it that more intriguing for him.

McGregor (22-6 MMA) has not competed since July’s UFC 264 event, where he suffered a broken leg in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier. Now back on the mend, the Irish star recently took to social media where he shared some photos of his new “190lbs of granite” physique (see those here).

UFC bantamweight contender Sean O’Malley reaffirmed his interest in fighting rising star Adrian Yanez, saying “that’s a sick fight.” O’Malley called out Yanez after his “Fight of the Night” victory over Davey Grant at UFC Vegas 43. Yanez, however, suggested that O’Malley wasn’t being serious about the callout. “Suga,” though, confirmed that he is in fact interested in this fight, and he is hoping the UFC sets this fight up for next March should O’Malley beat Raulian Paiva at UFC 269.
