Henry Cejudo has confirmed that he would be interested in fighting former UFC bantamweight champion Petr Yan. While he may have retired back in May 2020 after his win over Dominick Cruz, Henry Cejudo has still been an ever-present member of the UFC family since then. “Triple C” has flirted with the idea of coming out of retirement on several occasions and in the last few weeks, those talks have intensified as we move closer towards the two-year anniversary of him riding off into the sunset.

As the countdown continues to his highly anticipated rematch with Petr Yan, it appears as if Aljamain Sterling is ready and willing to step on the gas when it comes to the promotion of the fight. Everyone knows these two men don’t particularly like each other and after the recent trash talk between the two, which has included Sterling accusing Yan of cheating, it seems as if things are going to step up a notch heading into UFC 273.

UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski has hit back at Giga Chikadze following the Georgian’s recent criticism. When Alexander Volkanovski discovered that Max Holloway had withdrawn from their trilogy bout, the only name on his mind for a replacement seemed to be The Korean Zombie. Chan Sung Jung was happy to oblige and now, the pair will square off for the 145-pound title at UFC 273.

Kattar and Chikadze clashed in the headliner of last Saturday’s UFC event in Las Vegas. Gilbert Burns is looking to fight Khamzat Chimaev next and wants it to be a main event. Burns and Chimaev have been going back-and-forth with one another on social media and they had verbally agreed to fight one another on Twitter. Now, on Monday, Burns took to social media to once again call out the Swede and mentions he wants the bout to serve as a Fight Night main event in Brazil.
Giga Chikadze says he beats Calvin Kattar 9 times out of 10

Giga Chikadze believes he is a better fighter than Calvin Kattar. In the main event of UFC Vegas 46, Kattar pitched a shutout as he beat Chikadze by decision and won all five rounds. It was a solid performance from Kattar and after the fight, the Georgian went on Facebook Live and reflected on the fight. According to Chikadze, he believes he would beat Kattar 9 times out of 10.

The first card of 2022 went down on Saturday as top-10 featherweights in Calvin Kattar and Giga Chikadze headlined UFC Vegas 46. Kattar entered the fight having taken a full year off after his beatdown loss to Max Holloway last January, a setback which snapped his two-fight winning streak. Chikadze, meanwhile, was undefeated in the UFC and coming off a TKO win over Edson Barboza in his first UFC main event. He also picked up a TKO win over Cub Swanson in 2021 which put him on the map as a legit featherweight contender.

Amanda Nunes has left her longtime home of American Top Team where she has trained since 2014, in order to create and establish her own gym endeavor. Dan Lambert founded American Top Team back in 2001. The vision was to build a world class training facility where MMA fighters could get all of their training under one roof. ATT’s main academy is in Coconut Creek, Florida but it has other affiliated academies throughout the United States.

Heading into UFC Vegas 46 last weekend, Katlyn Chookagian knew she was on the final fight of her deal with the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Many wondered whether or not there had been an attempt to renegotiate prior to Saturday night but regardless of what happened, the 33-year-old still went out there and beat Jennifer Maia via unanimous decision to take her current win streak up to three.

UFC President Dana White has responded after former champion Henry Cejudo implied that he is being blackballed by the promotion. Cejudo (16-2 MMA), a former two-division title holder, retired from MMA after defending his bantamweight title against Dominick Cruz at UFC 249 in May of 2020.
