The mind games between Israel Adesanya and Robert Whittaker continue ahead of Saturday’s UFC 271 main event. Adesanya (21-1 MMA) will be taking on Whittaker (24-5 MMA) for a second time in this weekend’s much anticipated headliner at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

A female fighter in Russia went the distance in a fight with a 529-pound man in a card that featured a lot of whacky fights. Russia’s Epic Fighting put on a number of bewildering contests including a 75-year-old man and his 18-year-old grandson in a two vs. one fight. But, the fight that grabbed the attention of the MMA world was Aleksandra Stepakova, a female bantamweight, facing a 529-pound man by the name of Grigory Chistyakov. This is of course the same big man that fought now Bellator bantamweight, Darina Mazdyuk, which the female won.
Derrick Lewis reveals he didn't watch Francis Ngannou vs. Ciryl Gane: "I tried to stream it but they kept getting shut down"

Derrick Lewis has revealed that he didn’t want the UFC 270 main event between Francis Ngannou and Ciryl Gane. The news comes as a bit of a surprise, given that ‘The Black Beast’ has a history with both men. Lewis defeated Ngannou via unanimous decision in one of the worst fights ever at UFC 226. Unfortunately, he faltered in his interim championship clash with Gane at UFC 265.
Yoel Romero makes Bellator return in May against Melvin Manhoef

Yoel Romero has a name and a date for his return to the Bellator cage. The ‘Soldier of God’ signed to the promotion in December 2020 to much fanfare. Romero was a staple of the UFC’s middleweight promotion for nearly a decade. Along the way, he fought in four titles bouts, most recently against Israel Adesanya at UFC 248.

Jared Vanderaa is ecstatic to get the chance to share the Octagon with Andrei Arlovski. Vanderaa was booked to fight Chris Barnett on the first card of 2022 but “Beast Boy” had to withdraw before it was made official. Shortly after, Arlovski agreed to step up on short notice to fight Vanderaa on January 15 but the promotion decided to move it to UFC 271 so they can fight in front of fans.

Tuivasa is set for the toughest test of his career as he will face Lewis in the co-main event of UFC 271. It’s a very intriguing matchup between two knockout artists and fan-favorites and should Tuivasa get his hand raised, he says he wants to drink a beer out of Lewis’ cup instead of a shoe. Lewis, of course, infamously threw his cup to a fan after his KO win over Chris Daukaus in December.

Rogan has been under massive scrutiny for the past few weeks. While his attacks first stemmed from his controversial comments about COVID-19, the controversy took a turn last week. A video compilation was released showing the UFC commentator repeatedly using racial slurs on his podcast.
