Jan Blachowicz is advising he’s open to fighting Kamaru Usman after the welterweight champion called him a favorable matchup. Kamaru Usman, (20-1 MMA), last fought in November of 2021 at UFC 268, defeating Colby Covington (17-3 MMA) to defend his welterweight title.

Luke Rockhold believes it was a smart move by Khamzat Chimaev to turn him down. While Rockhold was hinting at a return to the Octagon earlier this year, he claims he was offered Chimaev and accepted the fight. Yet, the Swede turned it down as he wanted to stay at welterweight and ended up facing Li Jingliang and then Gilbert Burns. As for Rockhold, he was booked to fight Sean Strickland at UFC 268 but it didn’t come to fruition and he will now face Paulo Costa at UFC 277.

Tony Ferguson has opened up on his knockout loss to Michael Chandler. At UFC 274, Ferguson was looking to snap his three-fight losing streak in a very fan-friendly matchup against Chandler. Although ‘El Cucuy’ was coming off three losses in a row, he did much better than many expected in the first round. However, just seconds into the round Chandler landed a massive front kick that knocked Ferguson out cold.

UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman doesn’t really understand those who doubt his striking skills. ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ has been recently calling for a boxing match with Canelo Alvarez. While the boxing superstar first shot down the fight, he’s instead said that it’s just not going to happen now. That response has gotten anger from both Usman and his manager.

The fight was regarded as one of the worst in MMA history, as neither did much. Following the bout, Namajunas’s trainer Pat Barry said that recent drama could’ve affected her.

The Jorge Masvidal – Colby Covington trial date has been set for August 29, 2022. It was Covington (17-3 MMA) vs Masvidal (35-16 MMA) at UFC 272 in March of this year. Covington came out the victor in the welterweight main event. Just over two weeks later Masvidal allegedly attacked Covington outside of the cage.

Tony Ferguson believes Daniel Cormier should’ve been stripped back when he allegedly held the towel to make weight. In the main event of UFC 210 in Buffalo, Cormier was looking to defend his light heavyweight title against Anthony Johnson. Before the fight, however, there was some controversy as Cormier was heavy but when he came back to re-weigh it appeared he held onto the towel to make the weight. To this day, Cormier has denied it and said it was a faulty scale.
