UFC fighter Paulo Costa is being accused of striking a nurse during a COVID dispute. Apparently the middleweight contender was arrested by the police in the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Costa, 31, is being accused of striking a health care professional at a local medical center after she refused to issue the fighter an immunization card for the COVID-19 vaccine. The claim is that ‘The Eraser‘ wanted the immunization card without actually getting the vaccine.

Henry Cejudo has shot down the idea of his return fight being a rematch against former foe Dominick Cruz. The former two-weight UFC champion Henry Cejudo announced recently that he’s re-entering the USADA testing pool after more than two years away from competitive mixed martial arts. His plan of action seems to be going after UFC bantamweight king Aljamain Sterling as his primary target but beyond that, he’s also noted that he wants to try and become the featherweight champion in order to be the first fighter to hold a title in three weight classes in the UFC.

Glover Teixeira has slammed the UFC for the ‘ridiculous’ decision to strip Charles Oliveira of the lightweight title. Charles Oliveira (33-8 MMA) was scheduled to defend his then-UFC lightweight title against Justin Gaethje (23-4 MMA) at UFC 274 on May 7th. Unfortunately for Oliveira he failed to make the 155 pound weight limit at weigh-in’s the Friday before and ended up being stripped of the title, and ineligible to win it back in the main event. Oliveira ultimately did go on to compete and defeated Gaethje via first-round rear-naked choke, making it a record 11 wins in a row for ‘do Bronx’.

Conor McGregor (22-6 MMA) last fought in July of 2021 at UFC 264 where he succumbed to defeat against Dustin Poirier (28-7 MMA). The result was a broken leg for McGregor, which required surgery, rehabilitation and the Irishman is back into training looking for a Fall return to the Octagon.
