Given the success he’s been able to have at 155 pounds, it certainly seems like he’s destined for a title shot straight away. If he gets his wish, which certainly seems like the direction we’re heading in, he will battle reigning welterweight king Jack Della Maddalena for the strap.

UFC legend Amanda Nunes has declared that she will get the bantamweight championship back from Kayla Harrison. As we know, Amanda Nunes is one of the greatest female fighters of all time. She retired from mixed martial arts with that reputation firmly solidified and now, she’s back to try and double down on that. She wants to capture the UFC women’s bantamweight championship once again, and in order to do so, she’ll be locking horns with Kayla Harrison.

As we know, Khabib Nurmagomedov is an absolute legend within the world of mixed martial arts. He has achieved things that few would’ve thought possible, which includes completing his career with an unbeaten record of 29-0. Even some of the greatest to ever do it haven’t managed to go to an entire career unbeaten, which speaks volumes.

The 32-year-old champion needed just 84 seconds to crush his British challenger, extending his reign with authority.

A 155-pound slugger won’t deny that other fighters are avoiding Arman Tsarukyan, but he feels the reasoning is valid. Tsarukyan is currently the No. 2-ranked UFC lightweight. He was expected to challenge Islam Makhachev for UFC gold, but he was forced off the card just hours prior to the weigh-ins. Tsarukyan hasn’t exactly found himself in the UFC’s good graces, and his refusal to face Mateusz Gamrot in a rematch certainly didn’t help.

Some are also disappointed that McGregor didn’t use his popularity for positivity, as he often finds his name in the headlines for an incident.

Jones consistently teased both retirement and a fight with Tom Aspinall, who was the interim UFC Heavyweight Champion. “Bones” held the main title, and the logical move would’ve been for a title unification bout. Ultimately, Jones retired and relinquished his championship.

He has emerged as one of the best fighters on the UFC roster, knocking out the likes of Alexander Volkanovski, Max Holloway, and Charles Oliveira. Topuria has won UFC gold in two weight classes, and he is undefeated.

He likes to keep the masses on their toes and given his stature in the world of combat sports, we’d say he’s earned the right to do so. In the present day, though, it certainly feels as if we’re edging closer to seeing him back in mixed martial arts in one form or another.

UFC legend Dustin Poirier has spoken about his next big priority following his retirement from mixed martial arts. Following his loss to Max Holloway last month, Dustin Poirier officially retired from mixed martial arts. He walked away as one of the most beloved fighters in the history of the sport, and as one of the most exciting lightweights to ever compete in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Regardless of what happens from here, his body of work speaks for itself, and it’s a testament to the man himself that there were so many emotions flying around in Louisiana when he finally hung up the gloves.

UFC announcer Bruce Buffer has revealed how long he plans on staying as the voice of the promotion. For the longest time now, Bruce Buffer has been the main man in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He is the voice of the company and, in many ways, the voice of the sport, perhaps alongside Joe Rogan. He is an ever-present member of the roster and whenever he yells out “it’s time”, you know that a major main event is about to take place.

Although he’s now fighting a veteran, Magny knows this fight won’t be easy, as he says the Brazilian is dangerous.

The former UFC middleweight champion ended up losing by second-round TKO due to retirement. Looking back on the fight, Rockhold doesn’t believe bare-knuckle is a sport.
