YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul has revealed that he’ll be betting on Nate Diaz to defeat Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 279. Earlier this week, it was revealed that Nate Diaz will be fighting out his UFC contract when he locks horns with Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 279 on September 10. It’s a contest that has been heavily rumoured for a few months now and despite the opposition to the idea from many fans, the promotion is pushing ahead with it.

Several pro fighters took to Twitter after ESPN announced that Nate Diaz vs. Khamzat Chimaev was on tap to headline UFC 279. Earlier this afternoon MMA journalist Brett Okamoto reported that Diaz vs. Chimaev would serve as the five-round welterweight headliner on September 10th at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Khamzat Chimaev has opened as a massive favorite ahead of his UFC 279 main event fight against Nate Diaz. It was revealed on Tuesday that Chimaev vs. Diaz has been verbally agreed to headline the pay-per-view card on September 10 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The fight will be five rounds at welterweight, while it will also be Diaz’s last fight of his UFC contract.

On Tuesday, it was revealed by ESPN through Hunter Campbell of the UFC that Chimaev is booked to headline UFC 279 against Diaz. The news came as a surprise as just a week ago Diaz said he hadn’t been offered any fights and just wanted to fight out his contract. Now, he will fight out his deal against Chimaev and the Swede is looking forward to it.

Ukrainian MMA Fighter Maxim Ryndovskiy was reportedly tortured and executed by a Neo-Nazi group for training with the Russians. Ryndovskiy, 29, was born in Kyiv, Ukraine and competed as a middleweight. With only 1 win and no losses in his pro career, his last fight was back in April of 2017 with the UPLH (Ukrainian Professional League of Horting) where he defeated Artem Klochko (2-2 MMA) by TKO.
