Rose Namajunas isn’t the only one in her family with a massive fight coming up. The former UFC strawweight champion’s older brother, Nojus, is set to make his pro-MMA debut next week. On March 27, Namajunas, 31, joins the pro ranks at Mountain Force MMA 23 (MTF 23) in Logan, Utah.

She now also disputes that notion. “They did not cut the [featherweight] division,” Nunes told FanSided. “Dana [White] and I have a great relationship, as long as I want to defend it he will find me opponents.”

Petr Yan is confident he will get his belt back when he rematches Aljamain Sterling. At UFC 259, Yan was looking to defend his belt for the first time and after three rounds it appeared he would do just that. He had dropped Sterling in the first, stuffed 16 of 17 takedowns, and even took Sterling down on all seven attempts. The challenger was also fading, but in the fourth round, Yan threw an illegal knee and he was DQ’d meaning Sterling was the new champ.

Aljamain Sterling posted his first picture posing with the UFC title. In the first of three title fights at UFC 259, Sterling became the new champion due to Petr Yan throwing an illegal knee in the fourth round and being DQ’d. Following the fight, many blasted Sterling for exaggerating his injury.

It’s unbearable.” St-Pierre is one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time, so hearing these sorts of comments from him might sound surprising. But GSP said that he doesn’t like fighting, and he explained why in an interview with Complex. According to the Candian legend, the stress that goes along with fighting and the humiliation of losing makes it very hard to do.

In the main event of UFC Vegas 21, a pivotal welterweight bout headlined the card as Leon Edwards took on Belal Muhammad. Originally, Edwards was supposed to face Khamzat Chimaev, but complications from COVID-19 forced him out of the bout. Muhammad ended up taking the fight on short notice to attempt to become a legit welterweight title contender. However, the fight ended in the second round due to an accidental eye poke by Edwards and declare a No Contest.

UFC welterweight Belal Muhammad trashed “pathetic” and “weak-minded” Leon Edwards for wanting to get a title shot after their No Contest. Muhammad suffered a nasty eye poke in the early goings of the second round of his main event fight against Edwards at this past Saturday’s UFC Vegas 21 event. Unfortunately for everyone involved, the eye poke was so severe that the cage-side doctor and referee Herb Dean were forced to wave off the fight and call it a No Contest (accidental eye poke). But despite not actually winning the fight, Edwards has said since the fight ended that he wants to get a UFC welterweight title shot, and Muhammad doesn’t agree with that whatsoever.

Lashley recently won the WWE Championship when he defeated The Miz in an episode of Raw, becoming the third African-American wrestler to win WWE’s most prestigious title. Lashley, who is 44 years old, is one of the best wrestlers in the world of WWE right now, but he’s also an accomplished MMA fighter, having racked up a 15-2 overall record in mixed martial arts. Lashley has actually won his last eight fights in a row, including five stoppage wins in Bellator, though he hasn’t stepped into the MMA cage since 2016.

UFC middleweight contender Darren Stewart released a statement following his No Contest against Eryk Anders at UFC Vegas 21. Stewart and Anders met this past Saturday night in a highly-anticipated fight between two of the strongest middleweights in the UFC. Though Stewart entered the fight at the betting favorite, Anders appeared to have the early edge in the fight as he badly rocked Stewart with punches and nearly had him finished. However, Anders made the colossal error of hitting a downed opponent with an illegal knee. Luckily for Anders, referee Herb Dean called the fight a No Contest instead of disqualifying him like Petr Yan was at UFC 259.

Edwards, despite being out of the Octagon for almost two years, was clearly the favorite in a bout that saw Muhammad come in with very little pressure on his shoulders.

UFC welterweight contender Colby Covington explained what it would take for him to accept a fight against divisional rival Leon Edwards. Edwards recently returned from a 20-month layoff when he took on Belal Muhammad in the main event of this past weekend’s UFC Vegas 21 card. However, the fight ended in disappointing fashion early in the second round after Edwards accidentally poked Muhammad in the eye and he couldn’t continue to fight. In the wake of the No Contest, Edwards has said that he wants a title shot next. But with champion Kamaru Usman and Jorge Masvidal set to rematch this fall, it seems likely that Edwards will have to fight again.

In a since-deleted Tweet, UFC superstar Jon Jones taunted his haters by suggesting that steroids are turning him into “quite the shooter.” Jones will be making his UFC heavyweight debut later this year and he has spent the last year or so bulking up in preparation for the move. In addition to lifting weights and training, another one of Jones’s hobbies is shooting. On Sunday, he posted a video on Instagram of him getting some target practise in, and Jones was right on the money.

UFC commentator Joe Rogan shared an incredible drawing of Marvin Hagler that he drew back in 1983 when he was just 15 years old. Hagler’s family announced on Saturday that the legendary boxer had passed away at age 66. In the wake of Hagler’s passing, numerous sporting icons have taken to social media to praise “Marvelous,” including heavyweight boxing legend Mike Tyson, who shared kind words following his passing. Rogan, though, has taken the tributes to Hagler to a whole other level. On Sunday, the day after Hagler passed away, Rogan took to his social media to share an amazing drawing he did back in 1983 of Hagler scoring a knockout of Tony Sibson.
