Paulo Costa is once again speaking out against USADA and their occasionally excessive drug testing practices. The last time Costa got into a spat with USADA, it was over the organization’s decision to test him the morning of the UFC 278 weigh-ins. Costa was set to fight Luke Rockhold that weekend, and USADA showed up to his hotel room at 6AM to try and take blood as he was in the final stretch of making weight. While UFC president Dana White declared afterward that USADA would never do something like that again, they’re still making early morning house calls on ‘Borrachinha.’

Aljamain Sterling and Marlon Vera have teased a title fight between them in a back and forth on social media. Last month at UFC 280, Aljamain Sterling finished TJ Dillashaw to retain the UFC bantamweight championship. In the aftermath, he made it clear that he’s willing to take on whoever the UFC puts in front of him next.

Paulo Costa is nearing free agency. Prior to Costa’s UFC 278 fight against Luke Rockhold, he had said that he was fighting out his contract. However, he later corrected that as he shared that he still had one more fight left on his deal. Even though he was still under contract, Costa made it known he was not happy with his deal and planned on testing free agency.

Marina Rodriguez is expecting a fan-friendly fight as she prepares to headline UFC Vegas 64 against Amanda Lemos. Rodriguez is on a four-fight win streak and coming off a split-decision win over Yan Xiaonan in a very entertaining bout. Prior to that, she defeated Mackenzie Dern and Michelle Waterson in her first UFC main events. The bout against Dern earned her a ‘Fight of the Night’ bonus and she expects to get the same bonus again on Saturday against Lemos.

Israel Adesanya doesn’t think Alex Pereira will be able to last with him at UFC 281. Adesanya is set to defend his middleweight title in the main event of UFC 281 as he takes on Pereira. It’s a highly-anticipated fight as the two fought twice previously in kickboxing with Pereira winning one by decision and one by KO. However, in MMA, Adesanya believes it’s much different fight and he plans to rewrite history next Saturday at Madison Square Garden.

Chase Sherman wanted Josh Parisian next and approached the UFC with the matchup. After Sherman scored a third-round TKO over Jared Vanderaa he wasn’t sure what would be next. But, after going on social media he saw many mention a fight against Parisian made sense. He then talked to his coaches who also liked the matchup, so he pitched the fight to Mick Maynard who made it happen as the two will meet at UFC Vegas 64.

The bout was a back-and-forth fight, however, many fans felt ‘No Mercy’ did much of the better work. After 15 minutes of action, O’Malley picked up the victory by a contentious split decision.

The contest was an easy victory for Adesanya, as he won by unanimous decision. The win was also Adesanya’s fifth-straight middleweight title defense.

TJ Dillashaw says it makes no sense to face Cody Garbrandt when he returns from his shoulder injury. In the co-main event of UFC 280, Dillashaw was looking to reclaim the bantamweight title but suffered a second-round TKO loss to Aljamain Sterling. Just seconds into the fight, Dillashaw dislocated his shoulder and it kept popping out throughout the scrap.

It was on Saturday, October 22nd at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, that Aljamain Sterling (22-3 MMA) met up with T.J. Dillashaw (18-5 MMA) in the co-main bantamweight event. ‘Funk Master’ won the fight and the title that night.
