Billy Quarantillo was surprised when he got the call to face Alexander Hernandez at UFC 282. After Quarantillo lost to Shane Burgos at UFC 268 last year, he wasn’t sure what would be next for him. He was then supposed to face Bill Algeo at UFC Long Island. However, Quarantillo had to pull out due to an injury which was heartbreaking for him.

This is a fight that has been rumored for quite some time and the two will finally meet. Yet, on Thursday, Pimblett revealed in an interview the two have rolled with one another and he submitted Gordon twice in five minutes.

Dana White says Conor McGregor will likely face Michael Chandler in his return to the Octagon. McGregor has not fought since UFC 264 in July of 2021 in the trilogy against Dustin Poirier when he suffered a TKO loss due to him breaking his leg. Since then, he has been rehabbing his leg but has also withdrawn from the USADA testing pool, which has made some people mad.

Darren Till has made a lot of sacrifices for his UFC 282 training camp. Till is returning for the first time in over a year as he takes on Dricus Du Plessis. Given he is on a two-fight losing skid, the Brit made some changes to his training, most notably going out to Thailand. With that, he says he has only seen his newborn child once, the day she was born. After that, he flew to Thailand to begin training camp.

Paddy Pimblett wasn’t impressed with Charles Oliveira’s performance against Islam Makhachev. In the main event of UFC 280, Oliveira and Makhachev were fighting for the lightweight title – the division where Pimblett fights in – and Makhachev ended up winning by second-round submission. It was a great performance from Makhachev who dominated the fight from start to finish. Yet, for Pimblett, he was more surprised at Oliveira’s lack of performance. With that, he thinks he would’ve done better than the Brazilian did.
