UFC light heavyweight contender Dominick Reyes believes that he should have gotten the judges’ decision over champion Jon Jones at UFC 247. The judges scored the main event of UFC 247 for Jones with scores of 48-47, 48-47, and 49-46, leading to the champ having another successful light heavyweight title defense. Despite many fans and media scoring the bout for Reyes, none of the three judges felt that way, which led to controversy when the scorecards were read.

UFC president Dana White revealed how he scored the closely-contested main event of UFC 247 between Jon Jones and Dominick Reyes. Jones and Reyes were involved in a super-close fight that Jones ultimately won by unanimous decision to once again defend the UFC light heavyweight title. But many felt Reyes should have gotten the nod on the judges’ scorecards, and White is one of those people.

Following UFC 247, the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation released the controversial scorecards for Jon Jones vs. Dominick Reyes. The main event of UFC 247 ended in controversy when Jones was announced as the winner via unanimous decision, with the judges scoring the fight in his favor 48-47, 48-47 and 49-46 for a clean sweep to once again defend the UFC light heavyweight title. Many media and fans felt that Reyes did enough to win the fight, but the judges awarded the belt back to the champ, leading to an uproar on social media.

James Krause will fight Trevin Giles at UFC 247 on 24 hours notice

UFC welterweight James Krause has decided to step up on 24 hours notice to fight Trevin Giles in a middleweight bout on the UFC 247 undercard. Giles was supposed to fight Antonio Arroyo on the preliminary card for UFC 247. Arroyo successfully made weight on the scale but afterwards was transported to a hospital after suffering a brutal weight cut, temporarily leaving Giles without an opponent. That is until Krause decided to step up on short notice to save the fight.
