Normally, this kind of news would not infiltrate the MMA bubble, but the UFC has plans to touch down in the neighboring Chinese city of Shenzhen on August 31, which makes it quite relevant. The situation in Hong Kong, which has underway since June, has resulted in hundreds of arrests, violent collisions between protesters and police, airport shutdowns, and a boosted military presence at the China-Hong Kong border. Given this strife, there has been widespread worry the UFC may have to cancel the upcoming UFC Shenzhen card.

In fact, he says the only fights he’s willing to accept at this juncture are a fight with McGregor or a welterweight title shot. Unfortunately for Masvidal, UFC President Dana White is not a fan of this matchup. The UFC boss also doesn’t think Masvidal is in a position to make ultimatums. He’ll reportedly be offered a fight imminently — but not with McGregor.

According to the videos subtitles, White ultimately responded by saying ‘And listen, when you hear me saying stuff, I’m not saying… the truth.’

She’s also not particularly pleased with UFC commentator Joe Rogan, who generated some controversy for his skewed commentary of her UFC 240 victory over Felicia Spencer. Of course, these are not the first issues Cyborg has had with White and Rogan. Both men have previously made some pretty reprehensible comments about the talented fighter. And now, she wants an apology. Publicly.
