UFC president Dana White and a string of fighters have reacted to the video footage of Mike Tyson punching a man on a plane. One rule in life that should be clear above all others is that you shouldn’t mess with someone like Mike Tyson. Of course, we all know violence isn’t the answer in many instances, but the general consensus seems to be that “Iron Mike” made the right call when he beat down a passenger on a flight of his who was seemingly agitating him.

UFC President, Dana White, has made it clear that talking s**t on Instagram does not get you fights. Henry Cejudo, 35, (16-2 MMA) announced his retirement after successfully defending his bantamweight title against Dominick Cruz (24-3 MMA) back in 2020 at UFC 249. ‘Triple C‘, the former UFC double champion, has always claimed he would return to the Octagon for the right price.

UFC President Dana White believes that it’s time to book Jon Jones vs. Stipe Miocic. The UFC Heavyweight Title picture is up in the air. Francis Ngannou is the current champion but there are some question marks about his future. He underwent successful knee surgery, so he will be out of action for a while. On top of that, he is in the midst of a contract dispute with the UFC.

Jake Paul and Dana White have not seen eye-to-eye but the brash YouTuber-turned-boxer believes he will fight in the UFC at least once. Paul is currently an undefeated boxer but has recently hinted at making the transition to MMA. He released training videos of him practicing kicks and has also pointed at his wrestling background from high school. Although many expect him to take an MMA fight in another organization due to the fact White doesn’t like him, Paul says it’s undeniable he will fight in the UFC.

Aljamain Sterling wasn’t surprised when he heard Dana White thought Petr Yan beat him at UFC 273. In the co-main event of the pay-per-view card, Sterling edged out Yan by split decision to defend his belt in a highly-anticipated rematch. To many, the fight came down to the first round and White thought Yan won it which won him the fight.

Nate Diaz makes formal request to be released by the UFC

Nate Diaz has made a formal request to Dana White and Hunter Campbell asking to be released by the UFC. Diaz (20-13 MMA) has not competed since UFC 263, where he suffered a unanimous decision loss to Leon Edwards in a welterweight bout. The Stockton native nearly finished the British fighter in round five of that contest, but wound up being handed the loss after being badly outpointed in the first four rounds of the fight.

It was Dan Hooker (21-12 MMA) who went up against Arnold Allen (18-1 MMA) at the 02 Arena in a featherweight fight. The Englishman, in front of his hometown crowd, came out victorious via TKO (punches) at 2:33 of round one. It was to be Allen’s 9th straight victory in the UFC.

While the bout was first dismissed by Alvarez, he recently opined that the bout could happen if it makes sense. While he’s currently booked against Dmitry Bivol and Gennadiy Golovkin, Usman is hoping he can get slotted in this year as well.
