Ciryl Gane believes he will be fully prepared for Tom Aspinall when they collide at UFC 321. Gane is a former interim UFC Heavyweight Champion, but he hasn’t held the undisputed gold yet. He will have a third chance to do so when he meets Aspinall on Oct. 25 in Abu Dhabi. Aspinall is a sizable betting favorite going into the title fight, but Gane thinks the work he’s put in behind the scenes will pay off.

Jailton Almeida believes the upcoming heavyweight title fight is rather easy to call. Tom Aspinall is set to defend his heavyweight title against Ciryl Gane in the main event of UFC 321 on October 25 in Abu Dhabi. It’s an intriguing fight and one that Aspinall is a massive -395 favorite to defeat the Frenchman. Almeida seems to agree with the odds as he expects the Brit to beat Gane relatively easily.

Tom Aspinall wants to make quite the statement for his UFC 321 headliner. UFC CEO Dana White recently announced that Aspinall will put his undisputed heavyweight gold at stake against Ciryl Gane on Oct. 25 in Abu Dhabi. This will be Aspinall’s first fight as the undisputed champion. Fans have long expected Aspinall and Gane to eventually cross paths and barring unforeseen circumstances, that day will finally come.

The MMA Factory is easily the top gym in France, having already produced two UFC champions in Francis Ngannou and Ciryl Gane. The Paris-based facility may soon produce another UFC star in the utterly gigantic Dave Fotsing. Fotsing, still just 22, has yet to make his pro MMA debut, but is already off to an excellent start in his combat sports career. The Cameroonian-Parisian is an accomplished BJJ black belt, and has two amateur MMA wins to his credit: a second-round submission win, and a unanimous decision win, both in 2021. Since those amateur fights, he’s been fine-tuning his skills with Gane and coach Fernand Lopez, and there is no question he will be a terrifying challenge for whomever he next meets in the cage.

Ciryl Gane fought Alexander Volkov with an injured foot at UFC 310 over the weekend. ‘Bon Gamin’ returned to the cage over the weekend in Las Vegas. Back for the first time since knocking out Serghei Spivac last September, Ciryl Gane faced off with Alexander Volkov once again. The Frenchman had handed ‘Drago’ a unanimous decision loss back in 2021, but the Russian entered UFC 310 riding a four-fight winning streak.

Ciryl Gane has taken a moment to reflect on his infamous title fight with Jon Jones. Back in March 2023, Gane and Jones fought for the vacant UFC Heavyweight Championship. This one was a quick wipeout in favor of “Bones,” who secured a first-round submission finish. The takedown and the choke looked almost too easy, even for one of the greatest fighters of all time.

UFC heavyweight contender Alexander Volkov won’t be fighting Ciryl Gane next month. ‘Drago’ has been out of the octagon since his clash against Sergei Pavlovich in June. That bout saw Alexander Volkov easily outpoint his former friend and teammate en route to a unanimous decision victory. The victory was the Russian’s fourth in a row, previously scoring wins over the likes of Tai Tuivasa, and Alexander Romanov.

However, back in his home country, the Frenchman handed the ‘Polar Bear’ a second-round knockout loss last year.

A heavyweight rematch between Ciryl Gane and Alexander Volkov is reportedly in the works for UFC 308. Ag Fight was the first to report the news. MMAFighting.com later followed up, confirming that Gane vs. Volkov 2 has been agreed to, but contracts haven’t been signed just yet.

UFC heavyweight contender Ciryl Gane will likely be returning to his home country of France. ‘Bon Gamin’ hasn’t competed in nearly a year. Last September in Paris, Ciryl Gane scored a second-round knockout victory over Serghei Spivac in a win that he badly needed. Prior to that victory, the Frenchman had suffered two losses in his three previous contests, dropping bouts to Jon Jones and Francis Ngannou.

Tom Aspinall will be defending his interim heavyweight title at UFC 304 in Manchester against Curtis Blaydes but that wasn’t the original plan. Aspinall will be rematching Blaydes in the co-main event of UFC 304 in an intriguing matchup. Most fans seemed to think that was the fight that made the most sense, but according to Aspinall, Ciryl Gane was originally offered the title fight but he turned it down due to him filming a movie.

The former UFC interim heavyweight champion Ciryl Gane will be carrying the Olympic flame during the 24th stage of the relay as the flame moves from Deux-Sèvres region to Les Sables-d’Olonne this summer in the lead-up to the opening ceremony.

In a recent interview, however, the Englishman explained why he can’t picture that happening.

Ciryl Gane has opened up on his house being robbed during his UFC Paris fight against Serghei Spivac. As Gane was headlining the event earlier this month, a robber broke into Ciryl’s house and stole items totaling over $150,000 Euros. Some of the items the robber took included jewelry and a Rolex watch. It was difficult to process for Gane who didn’t hear about the robbery until after his TKO win.

Ciryl Gane isn’t interested in fighting Tom Aspinall his next time out. After Aspinall beat Marcin Tybura at UFC London, he said he was going to fight the winner of Ciryl Gane vs. Serghei Spivac in the main event of UFC Paris. Aspinall was in attendance for the event that saw Gane return to the win column with a second-round TKO win.
