Alexander Volkov believes Jailton Almeida is approaching his fights the wrong way following their UFC 321 bout. Volkov and Almeida shared the Octagon inside Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi this past Saturday. The bout went all three rounds and there was a split verdict. Volkov ended up securing the split decision victory.

Tom Aspinall thinks UFC has a plan for the next heavyweight title contender. Aspinall is set to put the UFC Heavyweight Championship at stake against Ciryl Gane on Saturday. Aspinall’s first fight as the undisputed heavyweight titleholder will headline UFC 321 in Abu Dhabi. It’ll be Gane’s third undisputed UFC title fight. While he held the interim UFC Heavyweight Championship, Gane has yet to earn undisputed status.

One key fighter on the UFC 321 card doesn’t believe Alex Pereira would stick around at heavyweight for more than a super fight. Pereira has publicly expressed interest in a clash with Jon Jones on the UFC White House card. “Poatan” has even said he’d rather fight “Bones” than the winner of the heavyweight title bout between Tom Aspinall and Ciryl Gane. In the past, Jones has been receptive to the idea of fighting Pereira.

UFC heavyweight Jailton Almeida doesn’t believe that Alex Pereira’s possible move to the division will impact his title push. With nine wins in his 10 UFC fights, it’s safe to assume that Jailton Almeida is on the verge of a world title shot. This weekend, he will attempt to secure that championship opportunity when he goes head to head with Alexander Volkov in one of the featured bouts of UFC 321.

Aspinall is set to defend his heavyweight title in the main event of UFC 321 against Ciryl Gane. Heading into the bout, Aspinall is a sizable -460 favorite while the Frenchman is a +320 underdog on FanDuel. Also on the UFC 321 card is a No. 1 contender bout at heavyweight featuring Volkov taking on Almeida.

Tom Aspinall is set to defend his heavyweight title against Ciryl Gane in the main event of UFC 321 on October 25 in Abu Dhabi. It’s an intriguing fight and one that Aspinall is a massive -395 favorite to defeat the Frenchman. Almeida seems to agree with the odds as he expects the Brit to beat Gane relatively easily.

Spivac and Tybura shared the Octagon inside the UFC Apex this past Saturday night. This was a heavyweight rematch, as Tybura won their first encounter back in 2020 via unanimous decision. Things played out far differently this time, with Spivac locking in an armbar for the submission win in under two minutes.

Almeida is coming off a knockout loss to Curtis Blaydes at UFC 299 in the second-round, this after he dominated the first round. Although the Brazilian lost the fight, he says it was a good learning lesson which is why he isn’t viewing it as a loss.

Jailton Almeida has advised Tom Aspinall to exercise patience against Curtis Blaydes. Almeida knows what it’s like to share the Octagon with Blaydes. The two met back in March on the featured preliminary bout of the UFC 299 card. While Almeida had success with his takedowns in round one, things quickly changed in the second stanza. Almeida went for a takedown with Blaydes’ back near the fence. As Almeida shot in to grapple, he was hit with a short uppercut. Blaydes then rained down hammerfists for the stoppage.

A new heavyweight showdown has been booked for UFC 302 as Alexander Volkov prepares to return against Jailton Almeida. Right now, the heavyweight division is looking a bit deadlocked. While Jon Jones is the champion, Tom Aspinall is the interim champion, and it appears as if the promotion is waiting for Jon to get healthy so they can book Jones vs Miocic. Beyond that, though, as Aspinall continues to sit and wait, there are plenty of other contenders rising up through the ranks.

Jailton Almeida is glad he got rebooked against Curtis Blaydes but is disappointed the fight is only three rounds. Almeida and Blaydes were supposed to headline UFC Sao Paulo last November, but an injury to the American knocked him out of the fight. Almeida went on to dominate Derrick Lewis and then got rebooked against Blaydes at UFC 299 in Miami, which he was happy about. However, the Brazilian wishes it was five rounds as he feels like a twenty-five-minute contest favored him.

Curtis Blaydes says he plans to fight like Justin Gaethje at UFC 299 on Saturday. Blaydes is set to take on Jailton Almeida in a pivotal heavyweight bout in Miami. The two were supposed to fight last November, but an injury to Blaydes forced him to withdraw from the bout. Almeida went on to beat Derrick Lewis by a one-sided decision and the two are now rebooked to collide at UFC 299.
