Joe Rogan declares Deontay Wilder the most impressive knockout artist in boxing history: "The touch of death"

Ryan Harkness - October 18, 2022

Joe Rogan has a massive amount of respect for Deontay Wilder’s knockout abilities after watching ‘The Bronze Bomber’ knockout out Robert Helenius in the first round last weekend. Wilder came into the fight looking to re-establish himself as one of the most dangerous heavyweights in boxing and shake off back-to-back losses to Tyson Fury. He did just that, catching Helenius with a huge right hand moving backwards that crumpled his opponent to the canvas unconscious.

Conor McGregor claims he carried Floyd Mayweather in their first fight: "I come out full force, and today, I end Floyd"

Ryan Harkness - October 17, 2022

Floyd Mayweather has often claimed that he ‘carried’ Conor McGregor through the early rounds of their 2017 boxing superfight, which ended in a 10th round TKO victory for Floyd. Now McGregor is firing back, saying he was the one who was doing the carrying. McGregor’s comments came as part of a compliment he paid towards Claressa Shields, who had just won a ‘Fight of the Year’ candidate against Savannah Marshall over the weekend. Shields retained her WBA, WBC, IBF, WBF, and The Ring middleweight titles. She added the WBO middleweight title to her collection, becoming the unified middleweight champion.

Ryan Harkness - October 17, 2022

Deontay Wilder returned to his winning ways on Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, knocking Robert Helenius out in the first round with a thunderous right hand. His opponent didn’t just go down, he stayed down with his eyes staring up into the rafters. It was a solid reminder that ‘The Bronze Bomber’ has dynamite in his fists. Robert Helenius was a former sparring partner of Wilder’s and something of a palate cleanser for the heavyweight knockout artist after back-to-back losses to Tyson Fury. Now Deontay is looking to get back into the title picture, and he’s got some targets to do that. When asked in the ring who might be next, Wilder said they wanted Oleksandr Usyk, but doubted Usyk would fight him.

Deontay Wilder "most definitely" interested in boxing Francis Ngannou

Ryan Harkness - October 12, 2022

If Francis Ngannou finds it difficult to lock in a boxing superfight against the mercurial Tyson Fury, he now has a solid backup in Deontay Wilder. Ngannou is currently sitting out the rest of 2022 with a bad knee injury suffered in his heavyweight title fight against Ciryl Gane in January. That also happened to be the last bout on his UFC contract, and his management believes a five year sunset clause overrides the promotion’s standard champion clause. If they’re right, Francis Ngannou will become a free agent at the start of 2023.
