Tyron Woodley lists advantages Gilbert Burns has over Kamaru Usman

Former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley believes Gilbert Burns will pose some real problems for the division’s reigning king Kamaru Usman. Burns was originally expected to challenge Usman for the welterweight title at UFC 251 earlier this month, but was pulled from the fight when he tested positive for COVID-19. He was then replaced by Jorge Masvidal, who Usman defeated by decision.

UFC middleweight contender Darren Till made quite a transformation ahead of his fight with the division’s former champion Robert Whittaker. Till and Whittaker will meet in the main event of UFC on ESPN 14, which goes down this Saturday on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. In this high-stakes fight, Till will look to build on the momentum of a split decision victory over former interim title challenger Kelvin Gastelum in his middleweight division, and take another step toward a fight with the division’s undisputed champion Israel Adesanya.
ATT owner believes Joanna Jedrzejczyk only fights again if it's a title fight

Joanna Jedrzejczyk is only interested in title fights and big fights according to American Top Team owner, Dan Lambert. Jedrzejczyk last fought back at UFC 248 in March where she and Weili Zhang put on an all-time great fight. The two traded shots for 25 minutes. Jedrzejczyk was looking to reclaim her title while the Chinese champion was looking for her first title defense.

Alexander Gustafsson looks big, strong and healthy ahead of his heavyweight debut, which goes down this Saturday night on Fight Island. Gustafsson, who competed three times for the UFC light heavyweight title, will be making his heavyweight debut against the division’s former champion Fabricio Werdum. The bout will be his first back from a short-lived retirement, which followed a submission loss to Anthony Smith in his final light heavyweight fight.

UFC featherweight champion Alex Volkanovski believes his next title defense will come against either The Korean Zombie or Zabit Magomedsharipov. Volkanovski defeated Max Holloway via controversial split decision at UFC 251, his second straight win over the former long-time champ. The result of the fight was controversial enough that UFC president Dana White hasn’t completely closed the book on Holloway getting a trilogy fight, but the smart money is on the UFC matchmakers choosing a fresh opponent to fight Volkanovski for his next title defense.

For Whittaker, Saturday’s fight against Till represents his return to the Octagon after a nine-month hiatus after he lost his belt to Israel Adesanya at UFC 243 last October. He needed to take a break due to feeling burned out and dealing with mental health struggles, which he has been open about publicly. After taking a much-needed break to deal with his personal issues, Whittaker will now look to get back in the win column against Till.

UFC bantamweight champion Petr Yan has responded after Aljamain Sterling referred to him as a “paper champion.” Henry Cejudo announced his retirement from MMA earlier this year, leaving the bantamweight title up for grabs. As a result, Petr Yan stood up to take on UFC veteran Jose Aldo in a vacant title clash at UFC 251. The UFC standout administered an onslaught of unanswered blows which resulted in his fifth-round TKO victory and the 135-pound crown. He is also undefeated since joining the organization in 2018, with previous wins against Urijah Faber and Jimmie Rivera.
