UFC veteran Ben Rothwell squared off with Bobo O’Bannon on the main card of tonight’s BKFC 30 event in Monroe, Louisana. Rothwell (39-14 MMA) had parted way with the UFC earlier this year after going 3-2 over his past five Octagon appearances. ‘Big Ben’ had most recently competed in the Octagon in November of 2021, where he suffered a TKO loss to Marcos Rogério de Lima.

Professional boxer Adrien Broner, who has held multiple world championships in four weight classes, has called out Nate Diaz. Broner (34-4-1 Boxing) last competed in February of 2021, earning a unanimous decision win over Jovanie Santiago. That victory had snapped a three-fight winless skid for ‘The Problem’, as Adrien had previously suffered losses to Manny Pacquiao and Mikey Garcia, this while fighting to a draw with Jessie Vargas.

It was just 6 weeks ago that Rockhold (16-6 MMA) announced his retirement inside the Octagon after fighting Paulo Costa (14-2 MMA) at UFC 278 on August 20th. The former UFC middleweight champion lost to Costa via unanimous decision. It was the Californian’s 3rd loss in a row.

The former UFC light heavyweight champion was still a top contender and in Bellator, he went 2-4 and lost four straight, with his last loss coming by KO to Fabian Edwards in his final fight for the promotion.
