Dana White says Conor McGregor won't fight in 2020, but has been offered January fight

UFC President Dana White says Conor McGregor won’t be fighting in the year 2020, but claims the Irishman could fight in January of the new year. McGregor announced his retirement in June, but has since teased a return to the cage, most recently for a potential fight with Dustin Poirier.
Anderson Silva vs. Uriah Hall betting odds released

The opening betting odds have been released for the upcoming middleweight bout on Halloween between strikers Anderson Silva and Uriah Hall. Silva and Hall will meet on October 31 in a five-round middleweight main event. The fight features two of the top strikers in the UFC middleweight division going at it, which should bring plenty of eyeballs to the fight despite taking place on Halloween. According to UFC president Dana White, this will be the last fight of Silva’s legendary Hall of Fame career.
Petr Yan, Aljamain Sterling react to UFC 256 title fight booking

Petr Yan and Aljamain Sterling were both quick to react to their long-rumored bantamweight title fight being made official. Yan, the UFC bantamweight champion, will attempt to defend his title against Sterling in the co-main event of UFC 256 on December 12. News of this fight was announced by UFC President Dana White through Kevin Iole of Yahoo Sports.
Khamzat Chimaev still without an opponent, but Neil Magny bout is possible

Khamzat Chimaev is still without an opponent for his next fight, but Neil Magny is reportedly interested in taking the bout. Chimaev was the breakout UFC star of summer, 2020. The Chechen-Swede first picked up two wins in the span of 10 days on Fight Island in July, defeating John Phillips by first-round submission and Rhys McKee by first-round TKO, then picked up his third win of the season when he knocked out Gerald Meerschaert at UFC Vegas 11, also in the first round.
UFC Fight Island 6 card loses co-main event

This Saturday’s UFC Fight Island 6 card has lost its originally scheduled co-main event: a heavyweight fight between Cyril Gane and Ante Delija. This bout’s cancelation stems from an issue on Delija’s side of things. According to report from La Sueuer, the Croatian heavyweight was plucked from the matchup due to some lingering contract issues with the PFL, where he used to fight. The UFC was unfortunately unable to find a replacement opponent for Gane.

Kanye West has released a new song, and paired the music with footage from last weekend’s insane Joaquin Buckley knockout. Buckley was the star of last weekend’s UFC Fight Island 5 card, delivering what is widely considered one of the best knockouts in UFC history at the expense of Impa Kasanganay. This knockout win quickly went viral, reaching far outside the MMA bubble, and evidently made it onto one one of Kanye’s screens.

The full betting odds have been released for the 11 fights scheduled to take place at Saturday’s UFC on ESPN+ 38: Ortega vs. Korean Zombie event. The main event of UFC on ESPN+ 38 is a grudge match between former featherweight title challengers Brian Ortega and The Korean Zombie. These two do not like each other and the slapping incident at UFC 248 made this a grudge match. Ortega has not fought in nearly two years since suffering a TKO loss to Max Holloway at UFC 231, while The Korean Zombie is coming off of spectacular knockouts of Frankie Edgar and Renato Moicano.

Former UFC women’s strawweight champion Jessica Andrade wants to make history and move up to 145lbs to fight at featherweight. Andrade formerly competed at 135lbs and 115lbs and this weekend at UFC Fight Island 5, she fights in a third weight class when she makes her UFC women’s flyweight debut against Katlyn Chookagian. With a win over Chookagian, Andrade could potentially be in line to fight UFC women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko sometime in 2021.

The 24-year-old Aussie is one of the best up-and-coming light heavyweights in the sport. After making his MMA debut in 2016, Crute won the first seven fights of his career in Australia before getting a chance to fight on Dana White’s Contender Series. He scored a knockout on the show to earn a UFC deal. Crute then scored back-to-back stoppage wins over Paul Craig and Sam Alvey before losing for the first time against Misha Cirkunov.

Blachowicz was around a +210 underdog and pulled off the upset with a second-round knockout over Reyes. For the Pole, he says the fight went better than he even anticipated.
