United States President Donald Trump questioned how Joe Biden would fare in MMA, saying “one gentle little touch to the face and he’s down.” Trump and Biden are hot on the campaign trail for the upcoming United States presidential election and both men never hesitate to trade shots with each other. Most of the shots these two men in their 70s trade are of the verbal variety but during a stop in Bullhead City, Arizona, Trump took it a step further, questioning how Biden would fare in an MMA fight. Here’s what Trump said to a group of his supporters on Wednesday.

Chris Weidman is looking to fight Paulo Costa after Derek Brunson turned him reportedly turned him down. Weidman returned to the win column back in August with a hard-fought decision win over Omari Akhemdov. After that, he began calling for a fight against a top contender and was offered to fight against Brunson which he accepted. However, the former middleweight champion says Brunson turned him down.

UFC legend Anderson Silva listed fellow MMA pioneer BJ Penn among the all-time greats but stressed “there is no such thing as the best.” Silva is considered by many to be among the greatest MMA fighters of all time and many consider him to be in the GOAT discussion. In the wake of Khabib Nurmagomedov beating Justin Gaethje to go 29-0 in MMA, many have rushed to call “The Eagle” the GOAT. But there are other fighters such as Jon Jones and Georges St-Pierre who are also in the conversation. When you consider all the variables, it’s hard to have one GOAT.

Yet, for Covington, he claims the Dagestani champion was only unbeaten because he was fighting at lightweight.

Jennifer Maia is hoping to “surprise the world” when she fights UFC women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko at UFC 255. Maia was granted the title shot against Shevchenko after pulling off an incredible submission victory over former top contender Joanne Calderwood over the summer. The UFC matched Maia up against the champ Shevchenko, and they will fight in the co-headliner of UFC 255 on November 21 in Las Vegas. The oddsmakers aren’t giving Maia much of a chance in this fight, as the Brazilian is listed as a massive betting underdog.

Former UFC welterweight champ “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler is out of his planned UFC 255 fight with fellow knockout artist “Platinum” Mike Perry. Perry announced Lawler’s exit from the card on Twitter, and simultaneously called for a replacement matchup with Khamzat Chimaev.

Leduc, a man fight fans know as “The King of Lethwei,” is set to defend his crown on November 7 in Cheyenne, Wyoming, when he takes on his long-time rival Cyrus Washington in an anticipated rematch. The bout, which is being promoted by Sparta Sports and Entertainment, will air on pay-per-view at a price of $25.99 USD.

Khamzat Chimaev likes his chances against Israel Adesanya and Kamaru Usman, who hold the UFC middleweight and welterweight titles respectively. Chimaev was the breakout UFC star of summer, 2020. The Chechen-Swede first picked up two wins in the span of 10 days on Fight Island in July, defeating John Phillips by first-round submission and Rhys McKee by first-round TKO, then picked up his third win of the season when he knocked out Gerald Meerschaert at UFC Vegas 11, also in the first round.

On Wednesday morning, the fighters on the anticipated Bellator 250 card stepped onto the scales to weigh in for their Thursday night battles. Both Gegard Mousasi and reigning Bellator welterweight champion Douglas Lima came in under the 185-pound limit for their middleweight title fight, which will headline the card. The main event sees middleweight striker Uriah Hall take on UFC legend Anderson Silva in the final fight of Silva’s career. Hall has been an inconsistent performer over his years in the Octagon, but he has looked to be in top form as of late, winning three of his last four fights. As for Silva, he is now 45 and coming off of two straight losses, including a leg injury TKO to Jared Cannonier in May 2019. It remains to be seen what he has left.

In the main event of Bellator 250, a massive middleweight fight goes down for the vacant belt as Gegard Mousasi takes on the welterweight champion, Douglas Lima. Heading into the fight, Mousasi is a -170 favorite while the Brazilian is a +140 underdog. Ahead of the fight, BJPENN.com reached out to several pro fighters to get their prediction for the scrap. The majority believes Lima’s striking is just too good that he will be able to pick apart Mousasi and earn the win to become a champ-champ in Bellator.
