James Krause and Darrick Minner have suspensions extended by Nevada State Athletic Commission

James Krause and Darrick Minner will remain suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Krause and Minner were suspended following Minner’s first-round TKO loss to Shayilan Nuerdanbieke – which saw a ton of unusual betting activity. Although the initial suspension was temporary, the Nevada Commission agreed to extend it until the ruling of the investigation is announced and revealed to the public.

UFC President Dana White is showing no concern about an ongoing betting investigation including James Krause. Krause has come under fire after Darrick Minner’s UFC Vegas 64 loss to Shayilan Nuerdanbieke. Minner is coached by Krause, who has openly admitted to betting on fights. Suspicion grew after Minner went from being a slight betting underdog in the fight to Nuerdanbieke becoming a sudden +420 favorite. Initially, it appeared Minner suffered a knee injury during the fight, but news of his issue was allegedly leaked by his camp just hours before the bout.

Sean Strickland doesn’t think James Krause should be allowed back in the UFC. Krause is under blast due to the fight between Darrick Minner and Shayilan Nuerdanbieke. The fight saw a lot of unusual gambling activity and with that, the UFC started to investigate the matter while the Nevada State Athletic Commission has since suspended his license. To add to that, the UFC has since revealed that any fighter Krause trains are no longer allowed to fight in the UFC, while the investigation is going on.

Fighting Alliance Championship has barred James Krause from cornering or attending FAC 17 due to UFC betting scandal

Fighting Alliance Championship has banned James Krause from cornering or attending their FAC 17 event on Friday. The regional show takes place in Missouri and was airing on Fight Pass with the events being called James Krause’s FAC. However, due to the batting scandal involving Krause and that the investigation is still ongoing, Fight Pass has removed the event from their schedule.

UFC veteran Josh Thomson has given a glimpse into James Krause‘s ongoing scandal. The head of Glory MMA and former welterweight contender has been under fire over the last month. The controversy all stems from a bout in November between Darrick Minner and Shayilan Nuerdanbieke. In that outing, the latter won by first-round TKO. The Nebraska native and Krause-coached fighter went down just over a minute in due to injury.

According to Krause, the relationship happened throughout their time seeing each other in Vegas, and since then the two started to work with one another.

The UFC has released a statement on the James Krause situation. On November 5, a featherweight fight between Shayilan Nuerdanbieke and Darrick Minner took place. Minner – who is coached by Krause – was the betting underdog but in the hours before the fight, a ton of money came in on Nuerdanbieke to win and to win by KO.

UFC welterweight James Krause invited women’s bantamweight fighter Julia Avila to train with him after she was kicked out of her gym. It’s been a tough week for Avila, to say the least. “Raging Panda” was supposed to fight at UFC Vegas 22 last Saturday, but the fight was scratched during the weigh-ins when her opponent, Julija Stoliarenko, fainted twice on the scale. Not only did Avila’s fight fall off, but she also took to social media the next day to announce that she had been booted out of her gym, the Oklahoma Martial Arts Academy, though she didn’t explain why she had been kicked out of the gym. Regardless, Avila is now looking for a new gym to call home.

James Krause says the UFC matchmakers twice declined his offer to fight Joaquin Buckley, and he thinks the matchup’s “dead in the water” now. Krause and Buckley have had tension for quite a while now due to previous issues at gyms in the Kansas City area, and both men have expressed interest in potentially fighting each other for several months. Calls for the fight became especially loud after Buckley knocked out Impa Kasanganay last fall with an insane head kick. However, the UFC did not book the fight between Buckley and Krause, instead choosing to match up Buckley with other opponents such as Jordan Wright and Alessio Di Chirico in an effort to build him into a contender at middleweight. Those efforts shot up into flames when Buckley himself was the victim of a brutal KO by di Chirico.
