Arlovski (29-19 MMA) is coming off a unanimous decision win over Philipe Lins in his most recent Octagon appearance in May. That victory put ‘The Pitbull’ back in the win column, as he had previously suffered a brutal first round knockout loss to Jairzinho Rozenstruik at UFC 244.

Mike Perry had some choice words for Darren Till after the Liverpool native pulled out of his scheduled UFC fight with Jack Hermansson. Till (18-3-1 MMA) was slated to square off with the ‘The Joker’ on December 5, but was forced to withdraw from the contest due to injury.

Bryan Barberena undergoes emergency surgery, forced out of scheduled UFC bout

UFC welterweight Bryan Barberena is out of his scheduled fight with Daniel Rodriguez on November 14 after requiring emergency surgery. Barberena (15-7 MMA) was forced to undergo emergency surgery due to internal bleeding from a couple ruptured arteries in his omentum.

Michael Chandler may be new to the UFC, but he has already taken a page out of Jon Jones and Conor McGregor’s playbook by playing tweet and delete. The former Bellator lightweight champion, Chandler (21-5 MMA), took to Twitter during the Presidential Election on Tuesday where he shared the following take which was later deleted.

The Octagon remains in Nevada for tonight’s UFC Vegas 13 event, an eleven-bout fight card headlined by Thiago Santos vs. Glover Teixeira. Santos (21-7 MMA) will be returning to action for the first time since UFC 239 in July of 2019, where he suffered a split-decision setback in his effort to dethrone Jon Jones of the promotions light heavyweight title. Prior to the setback, which left ‘Marreta’ needing knee surgery, the Brazilian was riding a four-fight winning streak. During that impressive run Thiago Santos picked up a TKO victory over reigning light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz.

UFC welterweight Demian Maia has responded to a recent callout from fellow veteran Diego Sanchez, saying that he accepts the matchup with him. Maia and Sanchez are two of the longest-tenured fighters in the UFC and both don’t have many fights left in their careers, so they have to make them count. Maia has indicated recently that his next fight is likely going to be his last after a 14-year UFC career that began in 2007. As for Sanchez, he’s heading into his 16th year with the world’s leading MMA promotion. For comparison, Maia turned 43 years old on Friday while Sanchez is 38.

Andrei Arlovski believes his prime is still ahead of him. At 41-years-old, Arlovski is still competing in the UFC and fighting top-ranked heavyweights. Although he is just 4-9 and one no-contest in his last 15 contests, Arlovski is still confident he can turn back the clock and go on another run to win the heavyweight title just like George Foreman did in boxing at age 45 and defended his belt until 48.

Alexander Hernandez believes he is now on version 2.0 as a fighter. At UFC Vegas 12 on Halloween night, Hernandez returned to the win column with a first-round TKO win over Chris Gruetzemacher. It was the first fight Hernandez had as a Factory X fighter and knows he is a completely different fighter now.

Ian Heinisch is hoping to fight Khamzat Chimaev the next time the Swede fights at middleweight. Before Chimaev was booked to fight Leon Edwards at welterweight, he said he was having a tough time getting an opponent. However, Heinisch says that is not true as he and Neil Magny made it clear they wanted that fight.

Darren Till will not be fighting Jack Hermansson in the UFC main event on December 5 as originally planned. Shortly after Till lost to Robert Whittaker it was announced he would be taking on Hermansson in December barring his knee was healed. Now, according to ESPN’s Brett Okamoto, the Englishman has been forced out of the fight with an injury. However, rising contender, Kevin Holland has agreed to step up on short notice to fight Hermansson.

UFC women’s strawweight contender Claudia Gadelha explained why a trilogy fight with Joanna Jedrzejczyk would go differently this time around. Gadelha and Jedrzejczyk have fought twice previously. In December 2014, the two met in a title eliminator while both were relatively new to the UFC. Jedrzejczyk won a narrow split decision and would go on to win the title from Carla Esparza in her next fight. The UFC then paired up Gadelha and Jedrzejczyk to be the coaches on TUF 23, and once again Jedrzeczkyk got her hand raised when she won a unanimous decision at the finale.

Bellator middleweight contender Austin Vanderford explained why he and his wife Paige VanZant leave politics out of their MMA careers. Vanderford picked up his 10th pro victory on Thursday night at Bellator 251 when he won a unanimous decision over short-notice opponent Vinicius De Jesus. The 30-year-old American signed with Bellator in 2019 following a stint on Dana White’s Contender Series that saw the UFC pass on signing him. Since joining Bellator, Vanderford is 4-0 and looking every bit like a future title contender in the promotion’s middleweight division.
