UFC featherweight contender Yair Rodriguez has responded to a controversial remark from his opponent this Friday night Jeremy Stephens. Stephens, who hasn’t won inside the Octagon since back in February 2018, recently told reporters that “I’m gonna kill this kid. If he don’t die, it don’t count” in reference to his rematch this Friday night against Yair Rodriguez at UFC Boston. The two men squared off at UFC Mexico City less than a month ago, but an accidental eye poke led to the bout being declared a no contest after just 15 seconds.

The long-time featherweight contender sustained a broken hand and injured eye in the fight, and will not be able to compete again until it’s healed and he’s given the all-clear by a doctor.

Dillon Danis is helping a bullied teen by paying for his martial arts training. The news came after a video surfaced online of the boy being attacked at his school in Baltimore. He was pummelled by multiple students but amazingly he managed to stay on his feet and endure the attack. Like anyone watching the clip, the Bellator fighter was shocked and saddened by the attack. PFL tells Ali Abdelaziz not to attend any event until battery case is resolved

Following an incident that took place at a recent Professional Fighters League event earlier this month, the PFL has requested that manager Ali Abdelaziz not attend any events moving forward. Abdelaziz was involved in an altercation with another manager, Abe Kawa, in which Las Vegas Police reported that Abdelaziz struck Kawa in the face with a closed fist. After the police opened up an investigation to the incident, PFL has decided to keep Abdelaziz away from events for the immediate future until the case is resolved. As first reported by Brett Okamoto of ESPN, the PFL has requested that Abdelaziz does not attend any PFL events.

One of the most popular fighters on the UFC roster, “The Korean Superboy” Doo Ho Choi is set to return later this year at UFC Busan. But while he was rumored to fight rival Cub Swanson in a rematch, he has been given a different opponent. The UFC announced late Wednesday night that The Korean Superboy will take on Canadian Charles Jourdain at UFC on ESPN+ 23, which takes place December 21 at Sajik Arena in Busan, South Korea.

The 31-year old goes to great lengths to prepare for his fights. Since he was a child, Nurmagomedov would swim in Russian rivers and go running up the mountains. He trained under the guidance of his father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov. His father even built a gym for Nurmagomedov and other youngsters to train out of.

Reyes (11-0) is coming into this fight off the back of a controversial split decision win over Volkan Oezdemir in London, which cast a shadow of doubt over his ability to be the next man to challenge Jon Jones. Weidman (14-4), on the other hand, will be making his debut at light heavyweight after losing four of his last five fights at middleweight – all via knockout.
