Conor McGregor is making a $3 million payday for his return to the Octagon at UFC 246 against Donald Cerrone. The Irishman recently came out and made a bold claim that he would be making $80 million, which many didn’t think was accurate.

UFC women’s strawweight contender Claudia Gadelha has released a statement after her fight against Alexa Grasso was scratched from UFC 246. At the official UFC 246 weigh-ins on Friday, Gadelha made weight as she stepped onto the scales at 115.5lbs. However, Grasso badly missed weight at 121.5lbs. Due to a weight discrepancy over 3lbs for a women’s strawweight fight, the Nevada State Athletic Commission scratched the fight from the card.

The opening betting odds have been released for the upcoming title fight between UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya and challenger Yoel Romero at UFC 248. The UFC made the long-rumored middleweight title bout official late on Thursday evening for UFC 248, which will take place March 7 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Adesanya vs. Romero will headline the pay-per-view event. The co-main event sees UFC women’s strawweight champion Weili Zhang take on former champ Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
Dillon Danis withdraws from Bellator 238

More bad news, fight fans. Dillon Danis has been forced out of his Bellator 238 fight with Kegan Gennrich with an injury. The Orange County Register was first to report this unfortunate turn of events. MMA Fighting subsequently confirmed that report. Danis, a decorated BJJ player and a long-time training partner of former two-division UFC champ Conor McGregor, was looking to improve to 3-0 as a mixed martial artist in this Bellator 238 fight. In his first two pro bouts, Danis picked up first-round submission wins over Kyle Walker and Max Humphrey.

UFC president Dana White confirmed that Conor McGregor will get the next lightweight title shot should he defeat Donald Cerrone at UFC 246 this weekend. The UFC lightweight title is on the line in April when champion Khabib Nurmagomedov takes on challenger Tony Ferguson at UFC 249. According to White now, McGregor will fight the winner of that contest should he defeat Cerrone, a decision that is sure to draw the ire of fans and media who don’t believe McGregor should be in the title picture ahead of Justin Gaethje.
