Cody Durden is eager to welcome Muhammad Mokaev to the UFC. Mokaev is only 5-0 as a pro but went 22-0 as an amateur in the IMMAF promotion where he was the bantamweight champion. After Durden’s last win, Mokaev was one of many flyweights to call him out, so he’s excited to face the Brit on Saturday at UFC London.

Paddy Pimblett and Ilia Topuria have different reasons as to why they had a skirmish yesterday in London. On Tuesday at check-in day, Pimblett threw a hand sanitizer bottle at the head of Topuria, and punches were thrown. No one really knew why it happened but according to ‘The Baddy’ he said Topuria was the one who went at him so he reacted with throwing the hand sanitizer bottle. The Brit said he wasn’t going to risk his fight getting called off by punching him so throwing the bottle made the most sense.

Back in 2016, Cody East fought twice under the UFC umbrella against Walt Harris and Curtis Blaydes. On both occasions he lost via strikes, before ultimately being released by the promotion. Since then he’s suffered a string of setbacks in the cage, leaving him with a 13-7 record after his latest defeat back in June 2021.

Belal Muhammad revealed he was supposed to headline UFC London against Khamzat Chimaev. After Muhammad beat Stephen Thompson by decision in December he began to call out Chimaev. He was vocal about wanting to get that fight and shortly after, his manager, Ali Abdelaziz called him to say he would be headling UFC London on March 19 against Chimaev.

However, as they were both checking in on fight week and singing posters, Pimblett and Topuria saw one another and the Brit threw a hand sanitizer bottle off Topuria’s head and the two then exchanged punches, with the Georgian fighter posting the video on social media saying Pimblett disrespected his country.
