Renato Moicano is looking to return a lot sooner than many expected. Moicano stepped up on short notice to fight Rafael dos Anjos in a five-round fight at UFC 272, but wound up losing a lopsided decision. Renato suffered a ton of damage during the contest, with many viewers thinking the fight could’ve been stopped, but the Brazilian says he’s looking to return this summer and hopes it will be in a main event.

Demetrious Johnson has revealed the three UFC fighters he believes could possibly beat his title defense record. ‘Mighty Mouse’ held the UFC’s flyweight crown from 2012 to 2018. Along the way, he racked up a record-breaking 11 title defenses over names such as Henry Cejudo, Joseph Benavidez, and Kyoji Horiguchi. His title reign was eventually broken by the aforementioned ‘Triple C’ at UFC 227.

Chael Sonnen has given his thoughts on Conor McGregor’s UFC return. ‘The Notorious’ has been out of the cage since UFC 264 in July 2021. Former UFC fighter Cody East has been arrested on multiple charges including child abuse, as reported by KRQE. Back in 2016, Cody East fought twice under the UFC umbrella against Walt Harris and Curtis Blaydes. On both occasions he lost via strikes, before ultimately being released by the promotion. Since then he’s suffered a string of setbacks in the cage, leaving him with a 13-7 record after his latest defeat back in June 2021.

At UFC 273 next month, Petr Yan is set to challenge Aljamain Sterling for the UFC bantamweight title. The fight will be a rematch from their UFC 259 collision last year, which saw Sterling capture the belt courtesy of a controversial disqualification win.

Jake Paul has made it known he wants to box Conor McGregor and is now willing to cut down to 175lbs to make it happen. One of the main reasons why Dana White has shut down the idea is due to the size difference, as he thinks Paul is too big for McGregor. The UFC president went on Logan Paul’s podcast, Impaulsive where he said the Irishman is a 145, 155lbs fighter while Paul fights at around 190lbs.

In those fights, ‘Wonderboy’ was outwrestled by Gilbert Burns and Belal Muhammad, while Masvidal lost twice to welterweight champion Kamaru Usman and was then outwrestled by Colby Covington his last time out. With that, Thompson is hoping the Masvidal rematch happens as he wants to face a striker next time out.
