Former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez has been denied bail once again. In late February, Velasquez was arrested for attempted murder, as well as a litany of other charges. According to reports, the former champion shot at a car and traffic and struck a man. Over the next few weeks, more news emerged about the individual who he shot at.

Tony Ferguson was closer to retiring than some may think. On the main card of UFC 274, Ferguson was looking to snap his three-fight losing streak when he took on Michael Chandler. ‘El Cucuy’ said he was looking to prove he is still a top contender and in order to do that, he needed to beat ‘Iron’. Unfortnately for Ferguson, the result did not go his way as he was knocked out in the second round, but in the first round, he had some success and says that is what is keeping him going.

The 39-year-old knocked out Wendell Giácomo in his final fight, a fitting end to his career. However, it may not be the end after all.

He said he didn’t want to allow Covington to make any money by fighting him. Now, however, it appears he has an interest in the bout as he tweeted at ‘Chaos’ saying he accepts the challenge.

The Octagon returned to Nevada for tonight’s UFC Vegas 54 event, an eleven-bout fight card headlined by Jan Blachowicz vs. Aleksandar Rakic. The highly anticipated light heavyweight main event was a fun and entertaining contest for as long as it lasted. The light heavyweight standouts battled it out in a very competitive opening two rounds. Unfortunately, disaster struck in round three when Aleksandar Rakic appeared to blow out his right knee while stepping back and planting his foot. He collapsed to the ground and Jan Blachowicz took mercy by not unleashing any ground and pound before the referee ultimately stepped in.
