Bigfoot Silva set to face kickboxer with a 102-9-1 record despite being on a 10-fight losing streak

Bigfoot Silva will be returning to kickboxing and has a tough opponent in front of him. Silva, who competed in the UFC from 2012 to 2016, has struggled as of late and has been bouncing between MMA, kickboxing, boxing, and BKFC. His last win was against Soa Palelei at UFC 190 in 2015. Since then, he has lost 10 fights in a row and will headline Mix Fight Championship against Zabit Samedov who’s 102-9-1.

Alex Morono is hoping to put on a fan-friendly fight when he competes in his home state of Texas on Saturday at UFC 277. Morono is set to fight for the first time in 2022 as he will take on Matthew Semelsberger. Although it is a later start than what the Fortis MMA product is used to, Morono says this is the perfect time to return after a very active 2020 and 2021 that saw him have six fights.

It’ll be the second time they’ve fought, as they first squared off at UFC 269 last December. Despite being a massive underdog, Pena brought the fight to Nunes.

The bout comes nearly three years after they met in the octagon for the first time. On the undercard of UFC 245 in 2019, Moreno picked up a unanimous decision victory over Kara-France.

Khamzat Chimaev has a feeling Nate Diaz won’t actually fight him at UFC 279 on September 10. Although Diaz and his team have claimed this is a fight they asked for and wanted, Chimaev says the Stockton native won’t show up. He believes Diaz will make some excuse for pulling out of the fight but the Swede is having none of it.

Maycee Barber was pleased with her UFC 276 win over Jessica Eye. Barber stepped up on short notice to take the fight against Eye after beating Montana De La Rosa by decision. However, she entered the De La Rosa fight, and subsequently the fight after with Eye dealing with a rib injury. Although she entered the fight with some issues, Maycee says she came out of her UFC 276 fight against Eye relatively healthy.
