Floyd Mayweather is open to running it back with Conor McGregor if the Irishman is up for it. In August of 2017, Mayweather and McGregor had their highly-anticipated boxing match. It took the world by storm as it was a can’t miss event and ultimately, it was Mayweather who got the 10th round TKO win. However, the early rounds were competitive as McGregor landed some shots, and according to Leonard Ellerbe the CEO of Mayweather Promotions, a rematch is possible.

Tyron Woodley and Jake Paul had their first faceoff and Woodley rapped one of his songs to the YouTube star. On August 28 in the main event of a Showtime pay-per-view card, Woodley will make his pro boxing debut against Paul, who’s 3-0 as a pro boxer. It’s a highly-anticipated bout and on Thursday in Miami, the two had their first faceoff where Woodley decided to rap his song ‘I’ll beat yo ass’ to Paul.

Welterweight fan favorite Nate Diaz shared a new poster for the upcoming UFC 263 fight against Leon Edwards, calling it “best of the best.” Diaz and Edwards throw down for five rounds or less at next weekend’s UFC 263 event, which takes place in Phoenix, Arizona. The two rivals were previously scheduled to meet last month at UFC 262, but the fight had to be postponed after Diaz suffered a minor injury during his training camp for the bout. Now that Diaz is healed up and ready to go, he will meet Edwards next Saturday night in a potential No. 1 contender’s fight at 170lbs.

The 38-year-old Blachowicz and the 41-year-old Teixeira will meet in September, with Blachowicz’s 205lbs belt on the line. Blachowicz is coming off of a big win over Israel Adesanya in his last outing that proved he’s an elite fighter in MMA, while Teixeira is still going strong even in his 40s, having won his last five fights in a row. Speaking to Submission Radio ahead of the fight, Blachowicz explained how excited he is for it.

For Woodley, the chance to fight Paul in boxing represents the opportunity to earn a massive payday. Considering he’s age 39 and is coming off of four straight losses in the UFC, it was a no-brainer for Woodley to say yes to this fight and secure the bag. But it appears as though Woodley is now a fan of the boxing paydays and is hoping to get more of them soon.

In the co-main event, Dariush defeated Tony Ferguson via unanimous decision in a performance that rocketed him into the top-five in the UFC lightweight division. Oliveira and Dariush are two of the best fighters in the world at 155lbs right now and it feels like they will eventually meet inside the Octagon. But if you ask Dariush, he is hoping that this fight takes place much sooner rather than later.

Former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum has been forced to withdraw from his upcoming slated PFL 6 fight with Brandon Sayles. MMAFighting.com first reported that Werdum has been forced out of the tournament, though details of his withdrawal are scarce at the moment. According to the report, it is unknown at this time if Werdum will remain part of the PFL heavyweight tournament. There has also not been a replacement opponent given to Sayles yet for his upcoming fight.

Chimaev hasn’t fought since last September when he knocked out Gerald Meeerschaert in 17 seconds due to health issues stemming from a severe case of COVID-19. The coronavirus was so hard on Chimaev’s body that he even temporarily announced his retirement from mixed martial arts. However, he was able to get healthy and he decided to re-commit to the sport and announced that he will be returning to “smash” his foes.

UFC president Dana White reacted to the Jake Paul boxing match, saying that “Tyron Woodley doesn’t look like the Tyron Woodley of the past.” It was officially announced this week that Paul will take on Woodley on August 28 in a professional boxing match on Showtime PPV. Paul has looked good in his first three boxing matches, winning all of them including a knockout win over Ben Askren in his last outing. Following that fight, there were rumors that he could take on Woodley next, Askren’s longtime friend and training partner, and the fight was officially booked this week. It was made possible to make because Woodley’s contract with the UFC recently expired following a stoppage loss to Vicente Luque and the promotion decided not to sign him to a new deal.
