UFC light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill has praised Glover Teixeira’s toughness following their bout at UFC 283. In the main event of UFC 283, Glover Teixeira and Jamahal Hill went to war. The two men battled it out over the vacant title at 205 pounds and eventually, it was Hill who managed to get his hand raised via a dominant decision.

With Smith’s fights off, he was asked to be the backup fighter for the main event but missed weight so he would’ve been ineligible to win the belt had either Teixeira or Hill not been able to fight.

It was just this past weekend that UFC middleweight champion Alex Pereira had to watch his longtime friend and coach, Glover Teixeira (33-9 MMA) get dominated and defeated by Jamahal Hill (12-1 MMA) in their light heavyweight bout at UFC 283 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Hill now holds the title of UFC champion.

Despite the reservations of many, Dana White’s Power Slap show premiered earlier this month as planned. Moreno and Figueiredo had their fourth fight for the flyweight title at UFC 283 in Brazil on Saturday night. The two were 1-1-1 against each other, so the fourth fight was set to settle it all and it was Moreno who won by doctor stoppage after the third round.

In that outing, O’Malley and ‘No Mercy’ went back and forth for 15 grueling minutes. While many felt the former champion deserved the nod, the Russian came up short by split decision.
