The highly anticipated women’s bantamweight main event resulted in a back and forth twenty-five minute affair. Holly Holm found most of her success in the clinch, but even dropped Ketlen Vieira with a side kick during the fight. However, the Brazilian appeared to get off the harder blows throughout the course of the fight and that seemingly swayed two of the judges in attendance to score the bout in her favor.

Upon leaving the UFC back in 2017, Gegard Mousasi was riding a nice win streak with many believing he was in line to challenge for the promotion’s middleweight championship. Instead, though, he opted to leave and test the waters in Bellator, where he is a two-time middleweight champion having defended the belt three times. The former Bellator champion landed a good combination that appeared to stun Silva. He followed that up with a flurry of punches and Thiago went down after eating a right hand. The two heavyweights met at UFC Fox 1 in 2011, UFC 155 in 2012, and at UFC 166 in October 2013. While Dos Santos won their first battle, he succumbed to defeat against Cain the next two times out.
