Former UFC strawweight champ Joanna Jedrzejczyk picked up a big win in the main event of UFC Tampa last Saturday night, battering Michelle Waterson to a unanimous decision triumph. Unfortunately for Jedrzejczyk, this victory did little to elevate her station in the official UFC rankings. In the latest rankings update, the Polish star climbed just one spot in the strawweight division.

UFC featherweight contender Yair Rodriguez has responded to a controversial remark from his opponent this Friday night Jeremy Stephens. Stephens, who hasn’t won inside the Octagon since back in February 2018, recently told reporters that “I’m gonna kill this kid. If he don’t die, it don’t count” in reference to his rematch this Friday night against Yair Rodriguez at UFC Boston. The two men squared off at UFC Mexico City less than a month ago, but an accidental eye poke led to the bout being declared a no contest after just 15 seconds.

Cub Swanson picked up the win he sought at UFC Tampa last weekend, defeating Kron Gracie by unanimous decision, but it came at a cost. The long-time featherweight contender sustained a broken hand and injured eye in the fight, and will not be able to compete again until it’s healed and he’s given the all-clear by a doctor.

David Feldman has high hopes for his new promotion, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. Although he has already taken over the bare-knuckle market in North America, Feldman hopes BKFC will be considered one of the biggest combat sports promotions on earth by 2021.

Following an incident that took place at a recent Professional Fighters League event earlier this month, the PFL has requested that manager Ali Abdelaziz not attend any events moving forward. Abdelaziz was involved in an altercation with another manager, Abe Kawa, in which Las Vegas Police reported that Abdelaziz struck Kawa in the face with a closed fist. After the police opened up an investigation to the incident, PFL has decided to keep Abdelaziz away from events for the immediate future until the case is resolved. As first reported by Brett Okamoto of ESPN, the PFL has requested that Abdelaziz does not attend any PFL events.

One of the most popular fighters on the UFC roster, “The Korean Superboy” Doo Ho Choi is set to return later this year at UFC Busan. But while he was rumored to fight rival Cub Swanson in a rematch, he has been given a different opponent. The UFC announced late Wednesday night that The Korean Superboy will take on Canadian Charles Jourdain at UFC on ESPN+ 23, which takes place December 21 at Sajik Arena in Busan, South Korea.

Colby Covington and Ali Abdelaziz have a storied past. The two got into it with each other at a buffet in Las Vegas, and have since traded jabs at each other in interviews. Now, however, after Abdelaziz’s latest incident at a PFL event where he punched Abe Kawa, ‘Chaos’ is taking it to another level. He questions why the manager has yet to be deported and plans on talking to President, Donald Trump about it. He also says there is a pending sexual assault charge against the Dominance MMA CEO that no one knows about.

Khabib Nurmagomedov shows fans why he is the undefeated lightweight champion. In an Instagram video, the Dagestani fighter is seen swimming in a hazardous river against the current. The 31-year old goes to great lengths to prepare for his fights. Since he was a child, Nurmagomedov would swim in Russian rivers and go running up the mountains. He trained under the guidance of his father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov. His father even built a gym for Nurmagomedov and other youngsters to train out of.

Greg Hardy is set for his fourth UFC fight and fourth bout of 2019 at UFC Boston. There, the former NFL star will be taking on promotional newcomer, Ben Sosoli. Although it is not a ranked opponent like Greg Hardy has wanted, he knows that time will come. For now, he is focusing on paying his dues and fighting the ‘middle class’ of the UFC like every other person before getting to the top. But, when he gets to the top, he expects to knock those top ranked opponents out.

Former UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos is interested in fighting Dustin Poirier at welterweight if he decides to move up in weight classes. Poirier recently said he was open to moving up to the UFC welterweight division, and a fan on Twitter asked RDA if he would be interested in a matchup against him. UFC light heavyweight champ Jon Jones now has so much disdain for middleweight champ Israel Adesanya that it’s actually indirectly improving his relationship with his long-time nemesis Daniel Cormier. Earlier this week, on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show, Adesanya’s coach Eugene Bareman explained that he prefers a fight with heavyweight champ Stipe Miocic over a matchup with Jones.

The former middleweight champion Weidman is moving up a weight class to fight the undefeated (11-0) Dominick Reyes. The top UFC contenders are expected to touch gloves this weekend in the main event of UFC Boston.

The UFC has reportedly considered a flyweight tournament in the event that UFC flyweight champion Henry Cejudo vacates his title. According to Nolan King of MMAjunkie.com, there is a rumor floating around that the UFC is open to holding a tournament with the promotion’s top 125 lb fighters if Cejudo decides that he will give up the flyweight title. UFC flyweight Tim Elliott apparently also heard the rumor as he discussed recently with Aaron Bronsteter.

Paulie Malignaggi has mocked Conor McGregor’s boxing ability after being questioned about the Irishman’s future in the sport. Malignaggi, who is riding a bare knuckle boxing defeat to McGregor’s close friend Artem Lobov, has been attempting to secure a fight with the MMA superstar for a few years now. Their feud dates back all the way to the build-up for Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr., which is still known for being the most lucrative fight in combat sports history.

UFC light heavyweight contender Dominick Reyes has revealed that he does not believe Chris Weidman’s chin will hold up when the two men clash in the main event of UFC Boston this Friday night. Reyes (11-0) is coming into this fight off the back of a controversial split decision win over Volkan Oezdemir in London, which cast a shadow of doubt over his ability to be the next man to challenge Jon Jones. Weidman (14-4), on the other hand, will be making his debut at light heavyweight after losing four of his last five fights at middleweight – all via knockout.
