Following on from a huge year for the Ultimate Fighting Championship in 2022, plans are in place for an even bigger 2023. Last Saturday night at UFC 281, Israel Adesanya was beaten by Alex Pereira in the main event. ‘Stylebender’ was up 3-1 on the scorecards but in the final round, ‘Poatan’ secured a TKO finish to capture the UFC middleweight championship.

He’s certainly talking like he expects to walk through the Stockton fighter, whose record holds more than his fair share of major upsets.
