Justin Gaethje is not backtracking on his controversial comments against Conor McGregor. Over the weekend, Khabib Nurmagomedov beat Dustin Poirier and defended his lightweight title. Conor McGregor used the opportunity to request a rematch against ‘The Eagle’, much to the dismay of Justin Gaethje. He responded to the Irish fighter online:

Justin Gaethje absolutely went off on Conor McGregor shortly following the conclusion of today’s UFC 242 event in Abu Dhabi. After Khabib Nurmagomedov defeated Dustin Poirier by third round submission in the evenings main event, the Russian was called out by his bitter rival Conor McGregor.

According to UFC President Dana White, however, McGregor will not be attending the card. He will, however, be watching the pay-per-view.
