Following Makhachev’s recent win over Jack Della Maddalena, Usman was Makhachev’s callout target, as the two legends seemed equally ready to clash in the Octagon next year.

Usman’s reign as the 170-pound king likely sealed a Hall of Fame induction in the future. “The Nigerian Nightmare” defeated Colby Covington twice, Gilbert Burns, and Jorge Masvidal twice during his run at the top of the 170-pound mountain. Usman even knocked “Gamebred” out cold, which was a rare feat.

Anderson Silva won’t be renewing a rivalry before the end of 2025, but he will still be facing a fellow ex-UFC champion. Most Valuable Promotions has announced that with Chris Weidman injured, former UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley will now be facing “The Spider” in a cruiserweight boxing match on Dec. 19. The bout will be featured on the undercard of Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua.

Darren Till claims Nate Diaz bailed on plans to meet in the boxing ring this August. The good news is that another UFC veteran is allegedly considering accepting the fight at a later date. Till spent most of his UFC career speaking in the welterweight division, where he notably came up short in a title fight against Tyron Woodley. However, he also competed in the middleweight division.
