Paul and Mayweather meet in an exhibition boxing match tonight live from the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida. It’s an exhibition boxing match because of the massive weight difference in the fight. At the official weigh-ins on Saturday, Paul came in at 189.5lbs while Mayweather tipped the scales at 155lbs. The weight difference is the reason this fight is not a professional boxing match, but rather an exhibition fight. Because it’s an exhibition, there will be no official judges ringside to declare a winner, but the fighters can still go for a KO.

YouTuber-turned-boxer Logan Paul shared one final hype video before his boxing showdown with Floyd Mayweather on Sunday night on Showtime PPV. Paul and Mayweather meet Sunday evening at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida in a highly-anticipated exhibition boxing match. One on side of the ring will be Mayweather, one of the greatest boxers of all time and the holder of a perfect 50-0 record as a professional boxer. On the other side of the ring will be Paul, he of YouTube fame and the 0-1 professional boxing record. On paper, it should be a walk in the park for Mayweather, with the betting lines pegging “Money” as a monumental favorite to get the win in the fight. However, Paul is confident that he can get the job done and believes he will win the fight.

Mayweather, who is now 44-years-old, has not competed professionally since improving his overall record to 50-0 with a TKO victory over Conor McGregor in 2017. With that said, ‘Money’ has kept active by participating in exhibition bouts. Mayweather defeated RIZIN star Tenshin Nasukawa by first round TKO in his most recent effort on New Years Eve in 2018.

Speaking on Showtime ahead of this weekend’s big fight, Paul was asked why he decided to go into boxing instead of pursuing mixed martial arts. Before he turned to boxing, Paul was a high-school wrestler and was said to be very good on the mats. But so far, Paul has remained focused on boxing and not MMA, and there’s a reason for that, as Paul thinks MMA is hard.

Boxing promoter Oscar De La Hoya accused Canelo Alvarez of ducking Jermell Charlo, and Alvarez issued a scathing response to the accusation. In reply to a post on Instagram of Alvarez teaching a young fighter boxing technique, De La Hoya and Alvarez got into a back-and-forth argument on social media after the Golden Boy executive accused Alvarez of ducking Jermell Charlo. Not only that, but De La Hoya also criticized his former client for his boxing skills, suggesting that Alvarez leads his head up when he throws hooks and that he walks around the ring flat-footed. Alvarez was absolutely livid with the comments that De La Hoya made and he quickly fired back at him.

UFC president Dana White reacted to the Jake Paul boxing match, saying that “Tyron Woodley doesn’t look like the Tyron Woodley of the past.” It was officially announced this week that Paul will take on Woodley on August 28 in a professional boxing match on Showtime PPV. Paul has looked good in his first three boxing matches, winning all of them including a knockout win over Ben Askren in his last outing. Following that fight, there were rumors that he could take on Woodley next, Askren’s longtime friend and training partner, and the fight was officially booked this week. It was made possible to make because Woodley’s contract with the UFC recently expired following a stoppage loss to Vicente Luque and the promotion decided not to sign him to a new deal.
