Tyson Fury may be fighting Deontay Wilder instead of Anthony Joshua next time out. After Fury TKO’d Wilder in February of 2020 in their highly anticipated rematch, many fans wanted to see the Anthony Joshua fight. It would unify the heavyweight division and prove who is the best heavyweight. However, Wilder was campaigning for the trilogy, but recently, talks between Fury and Joshua seemed to progress.

Tyson Fury sent a message to Anthony Joshua shortly after the Watford native scored a knockout win over Kubrat Pulev this evening. Joshua (24-1) squared off with Pulev (28-2) tonight at The SSE Arena in London where he successfully defended his WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight titles with a ninth-round KO.

Anthony Johnson is eligible to return to the UFC’s Octagon in early 2021 after re-entering the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) testing pool. In April 2017, the heavyweight fighter came up short in his second shot at UFC light heavyweight gold when he fought former champion, Daniel Cormier. Despite his submission loss in the second round, he was still regarded as one of the top 205-pound fighters, and his subsequent retirement from MMA shocked fans around the world.

Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury have agreed in principle to a pair of heavyweight title fights, according to Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn. Joshua, the unified heavyweight champion, and Fury, the WBC and lineal heavyweight champion, are widely viewed as the best heavyweight boxers alive. There is presently massive interest in seeing the two Brits collide in the ring, and according to Hearn, things are moving in that direction.

Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua may finally get the chance to fight one another. Fury and Joshua are two of the biggest stars in boxing and hold all the heavyweight titles. So, a unification bout makes sense, but contractual issues made that fight unlikely to happen. Now, however, according to several reports, there are early discussions to have Fury and Joshua fight in December in Saudi Arabia.
