Former UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira believes he was fighting against more than just Justin Gaethje at UFC 274. ‘Do Bronx’ was in action last month against ‘The Highlight’. However, before the two men got in the cage, they had to make weight. While Gaethje made weight comfortably, the UFC lightweight champion didn’t.

Yanez is set to face Tony Kelley, who previously made some bigotry comments while in the corner of Andrea Lee, which ultimately had provided Adrian with a lot of support. Although that adds intrigue to the fight, for Yanez the most exciting aspect is the fact he’s fighting back home in Texas.

Taila Santos believes that she should’ve defeated Valentina Shevchenko at UFC 275 last Saturday. Last weekend, the Brazilian headed into her flyweight title bout with ‘The Bullet’ as a massive underdog. Against all odds, Santos had a lot of success against Shevchenko. The 28-year-old dominated the fight on the mat early and took the champion down several times.
Ex-UFC fighter, former NFL star Greg Hardy signs with BKFC

Greg Hardy has signed with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. Hardy fought out his UFC contract at UFC 272 against Serghei Spivac which he lost by first-round TKO. After being let go, Hardy said he was eager to test free agency and has even signed on to make his pro boxing debut in October, but has also inked a deal with BKFC which promotional President David Feldman is excited for.

UFC featherweight contender Zabit Magomedsharipov has officially retired from MMA. Once viewed as a future champion, the 31-year-old has been out of action for some time. He was signed to the UFC with a boatload of promise, having been a former ACB featherweight champion.

Although he is no longer the champ, Dana White has said Oliveira will be one-half of a vacant title fight and he wants to face the Irishman for a few reasons.

Following UFC 275, there have been major changes in the UFC rankings this week. Jiri Prochazka (29-3 MMA) has made his debut on the UFC P4P rankings list, coming in at # 11. This of course follows his victory over Glover Teixeira (33-8 MMA) last Saturday night in Kallang, Singapore. It was in round five, with only 28 seconds left on the clock that Prochazka finished Teixeira via rear-naked choke, becoming the Czech Republic’s first ever UFC champion.

Kyle Daukaus figured he would be fighting Julian Marquez next. Daukaus and Marquez were originally booked to fight on February 19, but Marquez was forced to withdraw and Jamie Pickett stepped up. Daukaus ended up winning by first-round submission and after the victory, he figured he would be rebooked against Marquez. Instead, he was booked against Dolidze, who he was supposed to face last November.

Prochazka became the new UFC light heavyweight champion at UFC 275 when he submitted Glover Teixeira in the fifth round. It was a back-and-forth fight and although Prochazka got his hand raised, Sterling thinks the Czech Republic native is playing Russian roulette with the way he fights.
