Cole Shelton - June 14, 2023

Kyle Daukaus could have still been a UFC fighter if he wanted. Daukaus lost back-to-back fights by knockout to Roman Dolidze and Eryk Anders and after the loss to Anders, he had fought out his contract. With him losing two in a row, Daukaus expected to get released but he was offered a short-notice fight at light heavyweight against Tyson Pedro at UFC 284 in Australia which he turned down. He was subsequently released shortly there after.

The UFC removes three fighters from their active roster

Harry Kettle - January 26, 2023

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has reportedly removed three more fighters from their active roster. While it’s easy to think about the world class athletes that compete in the promotion, it’s worth remembering that not everyone is at that level. As such, from time to time, some fighters need to depart.

Kyle Daukaus details injuries he sustained in Roman Dolidze fight, reveals Eryk Anders fight at UFC Orlando is the final one on his contract: "This is do-or-die for me"

Cole Shelton - November 29, 2022

Kyle Daukaus didn’t think he would be fighting again in 2022. Back in June at UFC Austin, Daukaus suffered a first-round KO loss to Roman Dolidze. Daukaus got caught quickly with a knee and the fight was stopped 73 seconds in, which was disappointing for the Philly native.

Kyle Daukaus plans to "be as dominant" as possible against "tough" Roman Dolidze at UFC Austin: "He's a guy that is in for all 15 minutes"

Cole Shelton - June 15, 2022

Kyle Daukaus figured he would be fighting Julian Marquez next. Daukaus and Marquez were originally booked to fight on February 19, but Marquez was forced to withdraw and Jamie Pickett stepped up. Daukaus ended up winning by first-round submission and after the victory, he figured he would be rebooked against Marquez. Instead, he was booked against Dolidze, who he was supposed to face last November.

UFC Vegas 48 Bonus Report: Kyle Daukaus among four 'POTN' winners

Chris Taylor - February 19, 2022

The Octagon returned to Nevada for tonight’s UFC Vegas 48 event, a twelve-bout fight card headlined by Johnny Walker vs. Jamahal Hill. The highly anticipated light heavyweight main event did not make it out of the first round. Johnny Walker was able to get off some good kicks in the opening moments of the fight but wound up on the receiving end of a big overhand right from Jamahal Hill which put him on queer street. After hitting the Brazilian hit the canvas, ‘Sweet Dreams’ promptly put him away with a nasty follow up right (see that here).

Kevin Holland forced to withdraw from Kyle Daukaus rematch at UFC Fight Night 197

Christopher Taylor - October 27, 2021

Kevin Holland has been forced to withdraw from his slated rematch with Kyle Daukaus which was scheduled for UFC Fight Night 197. Holland (21-7 MMA) and Daukaus (10-2 MMA) collided earlier this month in the co-main event of UFC Vegas 38. The bout ended in controversy, as after a back and forth start the pair of middleweights clashed heads which left Kevin Holland rocked and on the canvas.

Kevin Holland vs. Kyle Daukaus rematch rebooked for upcoming UFC Fight Night card

Adam D Martin - October 5, 2021

The Kevin Holland vs. Kyle Daukaus middleweight rematch has been rebooked for an upcoming UFC Fight Night card after their recent No Contest. Holland and Daukaus fought to a No Contest last weekend at UFC Vegas 38. Early in the first round, Holland and Daukaus clashed heads and it dropped Holland to the mat. He woke back up a split second later but Daukaus was able to get him into a rear-naked choke soon afterward and the fight was stopped due to a submission victory. However, the instant reply was used immediately afterward and the fight was quickly reversed to a No Contest. Thankfully, the UFC has been able to rebook the rematch in short order. According to Brett Okamoto, the rematch will take place on November 13 (via Marcel Dorff).
