Glover Teixeira announced that his first title defense against Jiri Prochazka has been pushed back to UFC 275 in June. Teixeira (33-7 MMA) and Prochazka (28-3-1 MMA) were initially slated to collide on May 7th at UFC 274. However, the bout has now been pushed back to June for undisclosed reasons.

Former two-division champion Conor McGregor is open to a future UFC fight with Paddy Pimblett. McGregor (22-6 MMA) was in attendance at last night’s Bellator 275 event in Dublin to support his SBG teammates Sinead Kavanagh and Lee Hammond. While there, the Irish star had a chat with ‘UFC World‘ where he was asked to comment on Paddy.

David Onama proud to be first Uganda fighter to win in UFC, hopes to lead the way for more to join him

David Onama made history on Saturday night as he became the first fighter from Uganda to win in the UFC. Onama became the first fighter from Uganda to make it to the UFC last October, but at UFC Vegas 48 he scored a first-round KO win over Gabriel Benitez. It was a great performance from Onama but early on, Benitez punched him in the eye that Onama admits messed up his vision for a bit.

Colby Covington is set to face Jorge Masvidal next week at UFC 272. However, it seems the former interim welterweight champion has other opponents he wants afterward. ‘Chaos’ has notably said that he would like to fight Kamaru Usman if he beats ‘Gamebred’ next week. Covington would like a trilogy fight against his Nigerian foe despite the fact that he’s down 0-2 in the series. The fight does remain a possibility though, as his performance in both bouts earned praise.

Brian Kelleher has announced that he’s going to walk out with the flag of Ukraine for his next fight. Earlier this week, Russia invaded Ukraine and sparked protests and outrage across the entire international community. ‘Boom Boom’ is set to face Umar Nurmagomedov next week at UFC 272. The buildup to the fight has been quite entertaining, as both have talked trash on social media. Kelleher has even asked Conor McGregor to corner him in his fight against Nurmagomedov. A nod to ‘The Notorious’ rivalry with Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Conor McGregor says he will fight for UFC gold in his return. McGregor suffered a broken leg back in July against Dustin Poirier in their trilogy, forcing him to the sidelines. After rehabbing his leg over the last several months, the Irishman is now looking to make his return to the Octagon this summer or fall. While an opponent for his return is not set, ‘Notorious’ believes he deserves a title fight.

Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington did a joint interview with Stephen A. Smith and to no surprise, it got heated. Masvidal and Covington are set to headline UFC 272 on March 5 in Las Vegas. It’s a highly-anticipated bout due to them being former roommates and best friends but now hate one another. Part of the reason they started to not get along is due to the fact Covington allegedly didn’t pay a coach at American Top Team after his interim title fight win over Rafael dos Anjos.

Kyle Daukaus is glad to put the Kevin Holland controversy behind him now that he’s picked up another win. In the co-main event of UFC Vegas 48, Daukaus submitted Jamie Pickett in the first round. Kyle dominated the fight from start to finish and it’s a performance he is happy with.
