They’ve had a long-running feud for years now, dating back to Conor’s showdown with Khabib Nurmagomedov in 2018.

UFC president Dana White made sure to console Daniel Rodriguez following his loss to Ian Garry last weekend. On Saturday night, Ian Garry arrived in a big way in the top 15 of the UFC’s welterweight division. He was able to finish Daniel Rodriguez, being the first man to beat the veteran by TKO/KO. He did so in the first round and now, he’s jumped up to #13 at 170 pounds.

In the main event of UFC Charlotte, a battle of top-12 heavyweights went down as Jairzinho Rozenstruik took on Jailton Almeida. Rozenstruik entered the fight coming off a 23-second knockout win over Chris Daukaus back in December to return to the win column. Almeida, meanwhile, was a perfect 4-0 in the Octagon and was set for his first UFC main event.

Jiri Prochazka doesn’t know when he will be able to return. Prochazka had to vacate his light heavyweight title last year due to a major injury and since then, he has been healing and rehabbing trying to return. After Jamahal Hill became the new champ in January, the hope was to have the fight in the summer and reports came out that it was targeted for UFC 292 in Boston in August. However, Prochazka says that is still too early as he’s not fully healthy yet.

It’s uncertain when the fight will take place and if it will be a headliner, but all signs point to that scrap happening next. Nurmagomedov also hinted on Instagram that he has a fight lined up, so expect the official booking to come sooner than later.
