In the immediate aftermath of Nurmagomedov’s big win over Justin Gaethje last Saturday night, Dana White revealed that “The Eagle” had actually suffered a broken foot of some description in the weeks leading up to the bout.

UFC middleweight Kevin Holland received a short-notice opponent for UFC Vegas 12 after Makhmud Muradov withdrew from Saturday’s event. Holland vs. Muradov was set to be a part of the main card for this Saturday’s UFC event, which features a main event between middleweights Uriah Hall and Anderson Silva. Holland vs. Muradov had the potential to a great fight, but unfortunately, it won’t be happening anymore. According to a report from MMAFighting.com, Muradov was forced to withdraw from the event and he has been replaced by the UFC newcomer Ontiveros.

Hall comes into this fight on a hot streak as he’s won three of his last four fights, including back-to-back victories over Antonio Carlos Junior and Bevon Lewis as an underdog. Hall is currently ranked No. 10 overall in the division and a win over Silva would get him one step closer to a potential title shot.

St-Pierre, who last fought back in November 2017, has been a man in demand over the course of the last few days in the wake of Khabib Nurmagomedov’s retirement. Many fans and pundits alike were hoping that St-Pierre would go head to head with Nurmagomedov somewhere down the road, but now, it doesn’t appear as if it’s ever likely to happen.
