UFC commentator Daniel Cormier believes that Jake Paul would “beat up” Dillon Danis if the two ever end up fighting in a boxing match. In the wake of Paul’s knockout win over Nate Robinson at the Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr. event, there have been numerous athletes taking to social media to call Paul out. We’ve seen NHL players including Ryan Reaves and Evander Kane call Paul out, not to mention numerous other MMA fighters and boxers. One of those fighters is Danis, the outspoken Bellator fighter who has made it known he is interested in stepping into the ring with Paul. And Paul seems like he’s interested in the fight, too.

Former Bellator lightweight champion Michael Chandler, one of the newer additions to the UFC roster, has announced that he’s starting fight camp. Chandler signed with the UFC in the fall, and was was immediately slated as the understudy for the UFC 254-headlining lightweight title fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Justin Gaethje. In the end, both Nurmagomedov and Gaethje made it to the Octagon that night, which meant Chandler’s services weren’t needed, and his UFC debut was put on ice.
Brandon Moreno open to changing nickname to "Mexican McLovin"

UFC flyweight contender Brandon Moreno joked that he would consider changing his nickname from “The Assassin Baby” to “Mexican McLovin.” Moreno is currently the No. 1 ranked contender in the UFC flyweight division, and on December 12, he will take on champion Deiveson Figueiredo in the main event of UFC 256. It’s a huge opportunity for Moreno, who is one of the most exciting fighters in the division. In his last fight at UFC 255, he finished Brandon Royval in round one.

UFC president Dana White still believes that UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov will come back to the Octagon to make it 30-0. Nurmagomedov submitted Justin Gaethje with a triangle choke in the main event of UFC 254 on Fight Island in October. Immediately after getting the finish, the Russian champion took the mic and used his post-fight speech as an opportunity to retire from mixed martial arts. However, he never made it official, and in the past few weeks, we have heard rumblings that Nurmagomedov is in fact considering fighting one more time.

UFC middleweight Marvin Vettori opened as the betting favorite for his upcoming main event fight against Jack Hermansson at UFC Vegas 16. Vettori was originally slated to fight Ronaldo Souza at UFC 256, but after Kevin Holland tested positive for COVID-19 and was removed from UFC Fight Night 16, the UFC matched up Vettori against Hermansson. Holland, in turn, is now scheduled to fight Souza a week later. Vettori will now take on Hermansson in his very first UFC main event and it’s the first time he’s been booked to fight five rounds during his career.

An intriguing rematch between top-15 lightweights Beneil Dariush and Diego Ferreira has been added to the UFC Super Bowl card. ESPN’s Brett Okamoto first reported the rematch between Ferreira and Dariush will take place on the UFC Fight Night card on February 6. The main event of the evening is expected to be a five-round headliner between heavyweight contenders Alistair Overeem and Alexander Volkov. Ferreira vs. Dariush will likely be on the main card.

Tyson returned from a 15-year layoff on Saturday night when he fought fellow veteran Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition boxing match that ended in a controversial draw. On the undercard of the event was a co-main event bout between the YouTuber Paul and former NBA player Nate Robinson. The brutal knockout by Paul became one of the most highly-viewed sports clips of the entire weekend. While there are certainly a lot of people talking about Tyson today, there are many also talking about Paul the YouTuber.

UFC president Dana White says that he refuses to promote an “old guy” fight between legends Anderson Silva and Roy Jones Jr. White recently released the 45-year-old Silva from the roster following a devastating knockout loss to Uriah Hall on Halloween. Silva has since become a free agent but has already been turned down by Bellator, PFL, and ONE Championship, though RIZIN remains interested. Another option for Silva is to go into boxing, and a fight against another aging legend like Jones Jr. is a possibility. The 51-year-old Jones Jr. fought 54-year-old Mike Tyson to a draw on Saturday night at a big boxing event in Los Angeles.

A video has been released where you can watch Jack Hermansson react to the news that Kevin Holland tested positive for COVID-19. Hermansson was originally slated to take on Darren Till in the main event of UFC Vegas 16, which is set for December 5 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. Unfortunately, bad luck hit Till and he was forced out of the fight. The UFC was then able to get Holland to step in on short notice and save the card, but he tested positive for COVID-19 and was forced to withdraw. The UFC then played musical chairs, matching up Marvin Vettori with Hermansson and Holland against Ronaldo Souza.
