Amanda Nunes is finding herself fueled by her next opponent’s recent trash talking. The current UFC bantamweight and featherweight queen is set to once again defend the first of the two titles she won when facing Julianna Pena at UFC 265 on August 7. Venezuela’s Pena was originally set to do battle with Holly Holm at an earlier date before Holm was forced out with an injury. Now, many have criticized Pena for only getting the title shot due to her outspoken ways.

Vitor Belfort is finally getting back in action… it just won’t be MMA. Instead, “The Phenom” joins in on the boxing circus. ESPN’s Ariel Helwani reported on Thursday that Belfort is in the process of making a boxing match happen in Triller on June 19. In typical Triller fashion, Belfort is lined up to face YouTube star Mike Holston, better known as “Tarzann.”

Floyd Mayweather has offered to train Tyron Woodley ahead of his pro boxing debut against Jake Paul. In the main event of an upcoming Showtime boxing pay-per-view, Woodley is set to face YouTuber turned boxer, Jake Paul in a highly-anticipated bout. Woodley is a former UFC champion while Paul has taken the combat sports world by storm and coming off a first-round TKO over Ben Askren.

Floyd Mayweather is open to running it back with Conor McGregor if the Irishman is up for it. In August of 2017, Mayweather and McGregor had their highly-anticipated boxing match. It took the world by storm as it was a can’t miss event and ultimately, it was Mayweather who got the 10th round TKO win. However, the early rounds were competitive as McGregor landed some shots, and according to Leonard Ellerbe the CEO of Mayweather Promotions, a rematch is possible.

Welterweight fan favorite Nate Diaz shared a new poster for the upcoming UFC 263 fight against Leon Edwards, calling it “best of the best.” Diaz and Edwards throw down for five rounds or less at next weekend’s UFC 263 event, which takes place in Phoenix, Arizona. The two rivals were previously scheduled to meet last month at UFC 262, but the fight had to be postponed after Diaz suffered a minor injury during his training camp for the bout. Now that Diaz is healed up and ready to go, he will meet Edwards next Saturday night in a potential No. 1 contender’s fight at 170lbs.

The retired NFL star is now 43-years-old but has been training boxing for years and will finally take a fight and Maxwell never thought he would be his opponent.

Former UFC fighter Tyron Woodley hinted the Jake Paul fight is the beginning of a boxing career, saying “You’re gonna want to see more of it.” It was officially announced earlier this week that Woodley will be taking his talents to the boxing ring when he takes on Paul on August 28 on Showtime PPV. For Woodley, the chance to fight Paul in boxing represents the opportunity to earn a massive payday. Considering he’s age 39 and is coming off of four straight losses in the UFC, it was a no-brainer for Woodley to say yes to this fight and secure the bag. But it appears as though Woodley is now a fan of the boxing paydays and is hoping to get more of them soon.

Coach Eugene Bareman claims the UFC was not happy with Marvin Vettori, saying “they don’t want to see someone just lie around and hug someone” Vettori returns to the Octagon next Saturday night in the main event of UFC 263 when he takes on UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya in a rematch. The two previously fought in 2018, with Adesanya edging out Vettori via split decision. Vettori had been calling for a title shot following his most recent win over Kevin Holland via unanimous decision, but most fans expected Robert Whittaker to be next in line for the title shot. However, the UFC went ahead and gave it to Vettori despite apparently not being happy with him.

Beneil Dariush says Charles Oliveira owes him a UFC lightweight title fight, saying to “just own up to the person you were supposed to fight.” At UFC 262 last month in Houston, Oliveira defeated Michael Chandler in the main event of the evening to win the vacant UFC lightweight title. In the co-main event, Dariush defeated Tony Ferguson via unanimous decision in a performance that rocketed him into the top-five in the UFC lightweight division. Oliveira and Dariush are two of the best fighters in the world at 155lbs right now and it feels like they will eventually meet inside the Octagon. But if you ask Dariush, he is hoping that this fight takes place much sooner rather than later.

Henry Cejudo was finally forced to bend the knee. On Wednesday the former two-division UFC champion took to Instagram to share some big news. Cejudo first revealed that he proposed to his girlfriend Ana Karolina when down in Sao Paulo, Brazil where the future bride’s family resides. Karolina said yes before Cejudo also shared that the pair are expecting a baby girl down the road.

Of course, Paul and Woodley will headline a Showtime boxing card on August 28. It’s a stiff test for the 3-0 pro boxer and if he loses, he has the right to trigger an immediate rematch.

After it was made official that Woodley would box Paul, the former UFC champion claimed it would be the biggest purse of his career. According to Kawa, Woodley did better than Ben Askren due to the fact he’s getting a cut of the pay-per-view which Askren did not. With that, he says Woodley will make millions of dollars.

UFC welterweight star Khamzat Chimaev is heading to Las Vegas alongside teammate Alexander Gustafsson ahead of their returns to the Octagon. Chimaev hasn’t fought since last September when he knocked out Gerald Meeerschaert in 17 seconds due to health issues stemming from a severe case of COVID-19. The coronavirus was so hard on Chimaev’s body that he even temporarily announced his retirement from mixed martial arts. However, he was able to get healthy and he decided to re-commit to the sport and announced that he will be returning to “smash” his foes.
