Anthony Smith doesn’t believe Jake Paul would stand a chance against Conor McGregor in an MMA bout. Paul has been known to ruffle the feathers of many MMA fighters. One of them is McGregor, who Paul has been trying to sway into a bout either in boxing or MMA. Jake told TMZ that he’d knock McGregor out in the first round even under MMA rules.

Neil Magny isn’t a fan of Jorge Masvidal’s alleged attack on Colby Covington. Back in March, Masvidal was arrested and charged with aggravated battery with a mask, and criminal mischief. He allegedly attacked Covington outside of a restaurant in Miami Beach. “Gamebred” was released from jail on $15,000 bond.

Christian Leroy Duncan is the new Cage Warriors Middleweight Champion. Duncan challenged Djati Melan for the middleweight gold in the main event of Cage Warriors 136. Both men had undefeated records going into this title fight. Duncan was 5-0, while Melan had a record of 8-0.
Uriah Hall pulls out of UFC Vegas 51 co-main event with Andre Muniz

Uriah Hall will not be facing Andre Muniz on April 16. Hall and Muniz were expected to clash in the co-main event of UFC Vegas 51. MMAFighting.com brought word that Hall has been forced off the card due to undisclosed reasons. The report notes that the search for a replacement opponent is underway.

Kelvin Gastelum has spoken out about being forced off the UFC 273 card. Gastelum was initially set to meet Nassourdine Imavov on April 9 in Jacksonville. Plans changed after Imavov had visa issues. Dricus Du Plessis agreed to relace Imavov but Gastelum has withdrawn from the fight due to injury.

Kelvin Gastelum will no longer be fighting at UFC 273 after all. Gastelum was originally supposed to take on Nassourdine Imavov but the Frenchman was removed from the fight due to visa issues. The expectation was the fight would be moved to UFC 274 but Gastelum wanted to remain on April’s pay-per-view fight card. With that, he agreed to face Dricus Du Plessis. However, now on Friday, the UFC announced the TUF winner has been forced out of the bout due to an injury.

Gilbert Burns brought in a familiar face for his UFC 273 fight against Khamzat Chimaev. Burns, who trains at Sanford MMA, says Usman came back to the gym to help him prepare for the Swede. Usman, of course, used to train at the gym but when he was booked to defend his title against Burns, he left to go train under Trevor Wittman. Yet, throughout their fight camp, the two always remained close and they are now training with now another again.
