UFC featherweight Max Holloway is intrigued by a move to 155-pounds after his fight with Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 276. The 30-year-old is set to face the UFC featherweight champion this Saturday in Las Vegas. ‘Blessed’ will look to defeat ‘The Great’ for the first time in their series. Volkanovski holds two prior decision victories over Holloway, having defeated him in 2019 and 2020.

Gina Carano seems open to a possible fight with former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey. ‘Rowdy’ has been out of action since her December 2016 knockout loss to Amanda Nunes. The star has instead pivoted from MMA to pro-wrestling and acting and had a lot of success. With that being said, she’s open to returning to the sport for one fight.

Although Volkanovski has won both their fights, the second one was controversial as many thought Holloway won, so this time around he plans to not let the judges be involved.

Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Miesha Tate will have to wait a bit longer to make her flyweight debut. She’s now set to face Lauren Murphy at UFC Long Island next month. The 35-year-old has been absent from the cage since her defeat to Ketlen Vieira last November. Following the defeat, Tate decided to move downward in weight. She quickly set her target on current women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko.

Danny Sabatello is not happy that the Mohegan Tribe Department of Athletic Regulation has fined him $5k for swearing in his post-fight interview. After Sabatello earned a one-sided decision win over Leandro Higo, he swore in his post-fight interview which is common for Sabatello. He even mentioned in the post-fight interview that he may be fined.

The two lightweights exchanged blows in an incredibly technical bout but in the end, it was the Polish star who got the job done – even though many felt as if Tsarukyan had done enough to get over the finish line.

UFC Vegas 57 Bonus Report: Five fighters take home $50k

The Octagon returned to Nevada for tonight’s UFC Vegas 57 event, a thirteen-bout fight card headlined by Arman Tsarukyan vs. Mateusz Gamrot. Tonight’s main event proved to be a thrilling back and forth technical fight. Arman Tsarukyan had the better success in rounds one and two, but Mateusz Gamrot began to claw his way back in round three. Round four proved to be another closely contested contest and fans scorecards were all over the place heading into round five. The final five minutes was back and forth once again but Gamrot appeared to get the better of Arman in the frame.
