Gilbert Burns is aware of Neil Magny’s recent callout and he’s offered a response. Magny competed on the UFC Vegas 64 card against Daniel Rodriguez. He scored the third-round finish by locking in a D’Arce choke. Magny now stands alone for the most wins in UFC welterweight history at 20. The previous record holder was UFC Hall of Famer Georges St-Pierre.

Polyana Viana has made quite the claim about Colby Covington’s desires in the bedroom. Rumors have long swirled about a possible past relationship between Viana and Covington. In a recent tweet, Viana claimed that Covington was none too pleased when she refused to perform a particular sexual activity.

Marina Rodriguez has issued a statement following her TKO loss to Amanda Lemos in tonight’s UFC Vegas 64 main event. Rodriguez (16-2-2 MMA) had entered the contest sporting a four-fight winning streak, her latest being a split-decision win over Yan Xiaonan back in March. Marina’s lone career loss, prior to tonight’s result, had come against reigning strawweight champion Carla Esparza in July of 2020.

The Octagon remained in Nevada for tonight’s UFC Vegas 64 event, an eleven-bout fight card headlined by Marina Rodriguez vs. Amanda Lemos. Tonight’s women’s strawweight main event resulted in a third round TKO victory for Amanda Lemos. The opening round was very closely contested but Lemos began to pull away in round two. Then, in round three, Amanda finished the fight by landing a big flurry that clearly had Rodriguez stunned (see that here).

Tonight’s UFC Vegas 64 event is co-headlined by a welterweight bout featuring Neil Magny taking on Daniel Rodriguez. Magny (27-9 MMA) will enter the contest looking to rebound, this after suffering a submission loss to Shavkat Rakhmonov in his most recent effort at UFC Vegas 57. Prior to that setback, the veteran fighter was coming off decision wins over Geoff Neal and Max Griffin respectively.

UFC Vegas 64 loses heavyweight bout just hours prior to event

Today’s UFC Vegas 64 event is down to eleven fights after losing a slated heavyweight contest between Josh Parisian and Chase Sherman. Parisian (15-5 MMA) and Sherman (16-10 MMA) were scheduled to collide on the main card of tonight’s UFC event in Las Vegas. However, just hours before the commencement of the fight card, Parisian took to social media to announce that his bout with Sherman was off.

It looks like Charles Oliveira, the former UFC lightweight champion, won’t be returning to the Octagon anytime soon. The Brazilian was caught off-guard when a false tweet by an account named “MMA Uncensored” reported Friday that Oliveira would return to the UFC to take on No. 6 lightweight, Rafael Fiziev at UFC 283 in Jan. 2023. It was then stated by long-time MMA journalist, Ariel Helwani, that he never reported the news.

Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Julianna Pena still has her eyes on Amanda Nunes. ‘The Venezuelan Vixen’ has been out of action since her rematch with ‘The Lioness’ in July. Their first fight six months prior saw one of the biggest upsets in MMA history, as Pena submitted Nunes in round two. In the process, she ended the Brazilian’s near six-year run with gold.

While it was a nice victory that saw Chimaev retain his undefeated record, he wasn’t supposed to face ‘Trail Blazer’ that night. He was originally slated to face Nate Diaz at UFC 279.
