Christos Giagos saved his job in a big way on Saturday night. Giagos entered his UFC Vegas 71 fight against Ricky Glenn on a two-fight losing skid and figured he was fighting for his job. He has been cut from the UFC before and even though he was the betting underdog, he had a ton of confidence as he thought he could catch Glenn with a big shot, but admits he was surprised it happened so soon.

Former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir believes MMA needs to change. The former heavyweight titleholder is set for his final bout later this year at UFL 3. It’ll be Mir’s first MMA fight since a unanimous decision victory over Roy Nelson at Bellator 231 in October 2019. While his final opponent isn’t yet set, he’s excited to make his debut with the upstart UFL promotion.

Jack Hermansson forced out of slated main event fight with Brendan Allen

Jack Hermansson will no longer be headlining the June 3 UFC fight card. According to MMA Mania’s Alex Behunin, Hermansson has suffered an injury and was forced to pull out of his main event scrap against Brendan Allen. At this time, it’s uncertain if the fight will be rebooked or if the UFC will be searching for a new opponent to face Allen on about five weeks’ notice.

Rockhold and Perry had a press conference to promote their BKFC 41 main event and the two went back and forth throughout the press conference. Then, as the two did a faceoff, Perry picked his nose and wiped it on Rockhold’s sweater as he wasn’t paying attention.

Brundage and Vieira were supposed to fight last November, but just before Brundage was supposed to fly to Las Vegas the Brazilian pulled out with an injury. It was disappointing turn of events for Brundage, but he ended up taking a short-notice fight against Michal Oleksiejczuk in December and lost by first-round knockout.

Former UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway is down to head to the boxing ring. ‘Blessed’ returned to the octagon earlier this month against Arnold Allen. In the main event of UFC Kansas City, Holloway scored a unanimous decision win over ‘The Almighty’. In the process, the Hawaiian ended Allen’s 12-fight winning streak and got back on the winning track.
