Given its streaming deal with Amazon Prime, and several high-profile fighters such as Demetrious Johnson, the company has momentum. It seems they’re now ready to capitalize on it.

Chatri Sityodtong has opened up on ONE Championship and Eddie Alvarez agreeing to part ways. Last week it was revealed that Alvarez and ONE Championship mutually agreed to part ways and since then, the former Bellator and UFC lightweight champ said it was no bad blood on the exit. Sityodtong confirms that but admits the promotion didn’t get what they wanted from Alvarez and vice versa.

The bout set Alvarez back to 1-2 (1 NC) in the ONE Championship cage. As it turns out, that was the last time he would fight in the promotion.

Eddie Alvarez’s time in ONE Championship is over. According to South China Morning Post, Alvarez and ONE Championship agreed to part ways as the former UFC lightweight champ has not fought since April of 2021. At this time, it’s unclear how many fights he had left on his deal but both sides agreed it was best to part ways.

ONE flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson has no interest in competing at 125-pounds again. ‘Mighty Mouse’ is fresh off his fight with Adriano Moraes last weekend at ONE on Amazon Prime 1. The bout was a rematch of their prior matchup in April 2021, where the Brazilian won by knockout. In the rematch, Johnson got his revenge, knocking out Moraes in round four.

Moraes and Johnson did battle a second time this past Friday night (August 26) in the ONE on Prime Video 1 headliner. The action was held inside Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore. The ONE Flyweight Title was up for grabs.

Demetrious Johnson reclaimed the ONE Championship flyweight title by knocking out Adriano Moraes this evening in Singapore. Johnson (23-4-1 MMA) and Moraes (20-3 MMA) had previously met in 2021, where the Brazilian became the first fighter to ever knockout ‘Mighty Mouse’ by way of a flying knee. Along with handing Johnson his first career KO loss, Moraes took home the promotions flyweight title which was once again on the line this evening.

Angela Lee will defend her atomweight title against Stamp Fairtex at ONE: ‘X’ on March 26th. The Thai earned her shot at the champ by winning the ONE Women’s Atomweight world Grand Prix in December. The former ONE Muay Thai and kickboxing champion pulled off a big surprise when she submitted Ritu Phogat in the final. Currently 9-2, that was only Stamp’s second submission victory. She only had her first pro MMA fight in 2018 and her skillset has evolved rapidly. Like Stamp, Angela Lee won her first world title in ONE when she was still just a teenager. She took the atomweight crown with a unanimous decision win against Mei Yamaguchi when she was just 19.
