Ok Rae Yoon can rest easy – he’ll remain the newly-crowned ONE Championship lightweight title holder after his win over Christian Lee was upheld. The Korean scored a unanimous decision win against Christian Lee at ONE Championship: ‘Revolution’ last weekend, but the result was called into question. Immediately after the fight, Lee said the decision was ‘bulls**’ and asked for it to be reviewed.

Demetrious Johnson’s next fight will be unlike any other he’s ever had before. ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong announced Wednesday on MMA Fighting’s The MMA Hour that the UFC’s record holder for title defenses will compete on Dec. 5 at ONE: X. However, it won’t just be any old MMA bout as Johnson (30-4-1) squares off with Muay Thai legend Rodtang Jitmuangnon (267-42-10 in MT) in a hybrid bout.

At ONE: Battleground 3 in August, Bi Nguyen lost a competitive decision to rising Filipina talent Jenelyn Olsim. It was Nguyen’s fourth decision loss since joining the ONE Championship roster in early 2019, and like the three that preceded it, it wasn’t exactly cut-and-dry. “Story of my life,” Nguyen told BJPENN.com looking back on her loss to Olsim. “I’m always going to be honest with you, and there’s a lot of factors that go into this fight. If this fight was graded round-by-round, I would win, no doubt. If it was judged in America, I would win, no doubt. But it’s not, and that’s the reality of it—and that’s part of the reason I won the Ritu [Phogat] fight, because it was graded overall.

Angela Lee had a minor back and forth with a reporter during ONE Championship’s Lee family virtual media day. The 10-2 ONE atomweight champion recently became a mother which has kept her sidelined for all of 2021. On Tuesday, a Philippino media member asked Lee during the media day about how “real champions” typically defend their titles once or twice a year, wondering why Lee only was allowed to take a “two-year vacation” because she’s the “ONE poster girl.”

The ONE Atomweight Women’s World Grand Prix quarter-finals went down on Friday in Singapore with UFC veteran Seo Hee Ham (24-8) getting the split decision win over Denice Zamboanga (8-1). The result provoked a wave of angry comments online as fans voiced their disbelief at the decision. ONE Championship CEO, Chatri Sityodtong has said that the judges verdict is now under ‘formal review’ by the ONE competition committee.

ONE Championship chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong promised fans the “biggest card by far” in ONE Championship history this winter. ONE Championship turns 10 years old later this year, and as part of the organization’s plan to celebrate its 10-year anniversary, Sityodtong is promising fans that he will deliver a massive card. Speaking to Tom Taylor of Bleacher Report, Sityodtong hinted that the December ONE card is going to be absolutely massive, though he was unable to announce any fights as of yet. Still, it’s a hint for fans that they should expect a terrific night of MMA.

Both of Alvarez’s encounters with fellow former Bellator lightweight king Michael Chandler were instant classics. The same can be said for his UFC 218 bout against Justin Gaethje. Now that both have suffered losses in their most recent title opportunities, UFC President Dana White seemingly still likes the idea of matching the two together.

Vera (16-9 MMA) entered today’s event headliner with hopes of earning his third consecutive defense of his ONE Heavyweight championship. ‘The Truth’ had earned first round finishes over Hideki Sekine and Mauro Cerilli in his initial title defenses.

ONE Championship women’s atomweight star Bi Nguyen is all fired up and motivated ahead of her showdown with Indian wrestling champion Ritu “The Indian Tigress” Phogat. Nguyen and Phogat lock horns at the tape-delayed ONE: DANGAL, a tape-delayed event from the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore that airs on Saturday, 15 May,  just weeks before Phogat is scheduled to enter action against No. 2-ranked atomweight contender Meng Bo.

MMA fighter Phoe Thaw, who competes in the ONE Championship featherweight division, was seriously injured by a bomb blast in Yangon, Myanmar on Wednesday. Myanmar, known as Burma until 1989, is currently in crisis.

ONE Championship’s Shinya Aoki left a short and sweet message for Sage Northcutt after calling him out on the ONE on TNT 4 broadcast. The controversial Aoki has long since been viewed as one of the most unpredictable men in mixed martial arts, whether that be with ONE Championship or elsewhere.

It marked the end of ONE Championship’s first run of events on the TNT platform at ONE on TNT 4, with the show taking place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore.

Oumar “Reug Reug” Kane has fallen for the first time in his MMA career… but it wasn’t the most traditional of bout endings. Opening up the ONE on TNT 4 main card, Reug Reug took on Kirill Grishenko. At the end of the second round, the unbeaten Senegalese wrestling sensation absorbed a punch to the throat that forced him unable to continue. Thus resulting in a TKO loss.

Kickboxing legend John Wayne Parr reacted after getting knocked out by a head kick against Nieky Holzken in a Muay Thai bout at ONE on TNT 3. The 44-year-old Parr and the 37-year-old Holzken put on four-ounce MMA gloves as they stepped into the ONE Championship cage with each other for a Muay Thai fight. Unfortuantely for Parr, it was not a night to remember as he suffered a vicious knockout when Holzken knocked him out with a high kick. You can see the highlights below.

John Lineker scored another vicious knockout last night as he put Troy Worthen to sleep in the very first round of their ONE on TNT 3 showdown. Lineker has been part of the ONE Championship family since back in 2019 and while it may not seem like that’s the case, he’s certainly made the most of his opportunities ever since arriving on the scene.
